On September 27, 2017, Li and I began our tour in Pu'er City. For some reason, the city was a flat dam, the roads were straight, and there were no shared bicycles, so we had to take buses and taxis. Pu'er city is not large, the street view city appearance, unique charm of subtropical scenery.
I was shocked by the building in front of me, the wide square, in the semi-circular shape of 250,000 square meters of land, sprinkled with "one courtyard, six museums and one central building" with national characteristics, one courtyard is the Pu'er National Grand Theater, six halls, for cultural centers, science and technology museums, museums, beauty museums, archives, libraries, centers, is a health center. Most of these buildings have the form of Dai poles and railings. Dotted with green trees, lawns, flower beds, and lakes, it can be described as the most beautiful scenery.
Such a big deal was the first time I, who had been to more than 260 prefecture-level city stations across the country, and it dazzled me, and I was blinded and eye-opening. In the ravine of southwest China, there is such a big hand, dare to be the first in the world, it is unbelievable! But it is a fact that these unique features and iconic buildings really stand here. This is the Chinese characteristic. It gives people the feeling of a great leap in time and space.
There is a sculpture in the center of the square, called "Dialogue". On the right is a "jue", on the left is a "goblet", "jue" is an ancient Chinese wine utensil, "goblet" is a modern Western drinking utensil, in this group of sculptures, the "jue" and "goblet" together, I don't know what the meaning is, perhaps a metaphor for the dialogue between the East and the West. I really don't know what to say here? What does it have to do with tea city and tea culture?
The majestic Pu'er Grand Theater, standing in the center, is a circular building with an area of 27,200 square meters. Go in and take a look, there is a first-tier city theater atmosphere. Basic functions can accommodate all types of performances and conferences. On the left, there is a multi-functional press conference center comprehensive hall, with 240 seats, equipped with four-channel simultaneous translation and projection equipment, which can meet the needs of international academic conferences and press releases. There is a 450-seat standard concert hall on the right, which can be used for multi-style concerts and solo functions, and there is a 1,256-seat theater in the middle of the theater. Stage lighting at the Grand Theatre? The sound design is advanced, and the stage can be lifted, flowed and rotated. It can meet the performance of dance drama, opera, drama, miscellaneous drama and other types of drama, and is a first-class theater in Yunnan Province.
Pu'er Grand Theater, completed in October 2011 and operating in April 2012 for five years, in addition to normal performances, it has undertaken the first performance of Yunnan Provincial Theater Alliance Market operation, such as: "Moving" performed by Yunnan Provincial Repertory Theater, "Symphony Night of Chinese and Foreign Famous Songs" performed by Kunming Nie Er Symphony Orchestra, "The Story of the Lion King" performed by Shanghai Gudu Theater Troupe and other performance activities.
