The spy photo shows the design of the rear section of the new EC6. From the picture, the new EC6 will adopt a slip-back design, which is similar to the EC7 overall, and is equipped with a new style of through-type taillights. However, the details of the tail light group are slightly different from those of the EC7, and the design of symmetrical up and down is adopted, while the EC7's through-light strip is positioned higher overall. In addition, the new EC6 is also expected to be available with an electric rear wing.
The EC6 currently on sale is NIO's first coupe SUV, officially released on NIO Day 2019 and delivered in 2020. The new generation of EC6 will be based on the NIO NT2.0 platform and adopt the latest family design language. Compared with the current model, the new EC6 vehicle design will be more simple, and the roof will also be equipped with lidar and 8 million pixel camera.
Since the photograph was a road test vehicle, the interior spy photos of the car were not exposed this time. It is speculated that the new NIO EC6 will adopt the same configuration as the NIO EC7, with a 10.2-inch full LCD instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch central control screen, and equipped with the Banyan vehicle system.
In terms of power and range, the all-new NIO EC6 will be based on the NIO NT2.0 platform, which is expected to be equipped with the same powertrain as the ES6, equipped with a dual-motor four-wheel drive system, and provide 75 kWh and 100 kWh battery packs.
