Martyr Zhang Hengyuan was born in October 1920, joined the army in January 1947, participated in the Liberation War, and during the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, he was incorporated into the 175th Regiment of the 59th Division of the 20th Army of the Chinese Volunteer Army as a squad leader. He went to Fight in Korea in early November 1950 and was killed in the Battle of South Hamgyong on November 27 at the age of 30.
