Items prohibited for travelers leaving Macao
The following items are prohibited from being taken out of the country, including:

It is important to note that common household items such as pesticide, gasoline, paint, mineral turpentine, methylated alcohol, gas cylinders, oven and sewer cleaners, bleach, flammable glues and aerosols are potentially dangerous goods.
Chips are prohibited from being brought into the Mainland

Announcement No. 46 of 2013 of the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China has clarified that gambling chips are "other items" listed in the List of Articles Prohibited from Entering and Leaving China in the "List of Articles Prohibited from Entering and Exiting the People's Republic of China", "printed matter, films, photographs, records, films, audio tapes, video tapes, laser discs, computer storage media and other items harmful to China's politics, economy, culture and morality". It is forbidden to bring chips into and out of the country.
Penalties for bringing chips into the Mainland
According to the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on the Implementation of Customs Administrative Punishments, if a party flees from customs supervision by hiding, disguising, concealing, falsifying or otherwise carrying gambling chips into or out of China, it shall be characterized as smuggling, and the customs shall confiscate the chips carried in accordance with law and may also impose a certain amount of fine; If the parties carry a sporadic number of gambling chips into or out of the country, and administrative punishment may be waived in accordance with law, the Customs shall confiscate the chips involved in the case in accordance with the provisions of Article 62, Paragraph 1 (2) of the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on the Implementation of Customs Administrative Punishments.

Macao is prohibited from bringing anti-epidemic materials into the Mainland
With the customs clearance of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, in order to avoid a run on Macao's medical and pharmaceutical resources and to ensure the drug needs of local residents, the Chief Executive of Macao has issued Instruction No. 3/2023, prohibiting the departure of four anti-epidemic drugs and supplies from Macao in the name of goods for personal use or consumption from 8 January.
It is instructed to restrict the carriage of 5 boxes or 5 bottles of analgesic and antipyretic medicine, 5 boxes or 5 bottles of compound cold medicine, 5 boxes or 5 bottles of phlegm and cough medicine, and 5 boxes of new crown rapid antigen test reagents to take out of Macao. At the same time, in view of the fact that some Macao residents have been living abroad for a long time, or need to return to Macao regularly for medical treatment and obtain prescriptions for long-term use of medicines such as pain relief or phlegm and cough, and then bring them back to their place of residence for use, the quantity of drugs brought out of the country will not be affected by this restriction if the above-mentioned outbound persons can present a doctor's prescription to prove that they have medical needs.
It should be noted that, first, individuals cannot carry excessive amounts out of the country, and there is no problem with less than five boxes; Second, bringing out of the country does not only mean bringing into the mainland, but also into Hong Kong or other overseas countries.
