There is a strange phenomenon, that is, many people do not believe in ghosts and gods when they are young, and they do not believe that people can be reincarnated after death. But in old age, especially in the twilight years, I began to believe in Buddhism and look forward to the reincarnation of the soul, for the simple reason that I did not want to die, and especially looked forward to a new beginning after death. This expectation coincides with the Buddhist concept of the soul "no birth, no death, no increase or decrease", whether true or false, at least to give a desperate psychology a glimmer of expectation, to alleviate people's instinctive fear of death.
Man's fear of death is innate, because from the perspective of psychological science, the characteristics of life are composed of two parts, physical and psychological, and reproduced. The theoretical basis is:
1) People define life and death by "Can the heart beat autonomously?" "So there is a heart beating, but consciousness is gone, so let's imagine: if the heart suddenly stops beating, will consciousness disappear in an instant? Where is the content, including the subconscious level, or the "field" produced by the physiological and psychological synergy?
2, the source of human life is the combination of sperm and egg, which is the beginning of physiology, and in the process of psychological enlightenment and development, how much is outside consciousness and the inherent content of consciousness? We can "look inward" at these contents ourselves, and presumably we cannot explain "ourselves" ourselves.
3, the world is "multi-dimensional superposition", that is to say, there is a large unknown space outside the universe, for example: "dark matter" phenomenon, including "induction" and "field", etc., people can only be momentary doubts, simply can not explore the source, but this is only the current "unknown", but most people's "unknown", does not represent the absolute unknown.
Since there is such a statement, and it has been passed down to this day, there must be a basis and reason, and no absolute affirmation is equivalent to no absolute negation, which is a philosophical point of view. Moreover, it is not necessary to use science to explain everything, because after all, science is under the premise of knowing, there are constraints and limitations, and we are discussing the unknown of science, and we need to use unknown science to discover new science!
Therefore, although there is not enough evidence to support the "soul reincarnation", all of us hope to have it, and this is not a super powerful mental energy!
