The latest report from foreign media Deadline, after a long search, Paramount and Hasbro decided to let Steven Caple Jr., the director of "Quiddi: Heroes Rise Up", direct the new "Transformers" movie.
Deadline learned from insiders that although formal negotiations have not yet begun, Stephen Kapoor Jr. is the first choice for studio executives and producers, and the matter will be completed in the coming weeks.
In January of this year, the studio decided to make a major overhaul of the Transformers series, with two screenplays being developed simultaneously, one by Paramount's James Vanderbilt (Independence Day 2) and the other by Zoby Harold (Edge of Tomorrow).
Drobi Harold's script was eventually adopted, and after the final polishing of the script late this summer, they began to seek the right director for the film.
Stephen Kapoor Jr.'s best-known work was written by Michael C. Lee. B. Jordan starred in Quidditch: The Hero Rises Again, produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and MGM.
