Hello, I am looking up~

Zi Tong of the Zhengxin Reading Club asked me to do a vibrato live broadcast. I gladly accepted it, which is the first step in the live broadcast!

There are some things you don't try, and you don't know what treasures are waiting for you to discover.

The assignment that accompanies the preparation of the live broadcast is to watch two movies: "Flying Over the Madhouse" and "In the Name of the Father".

Watching this so-called good movie of the past, I have never been as diligent as reading and listening to lectures.

But when I had to look at it with the mentality of completing the task, I found that it was recommended by Mr. Qifei, and it was really wonderful and inspiring!

Read all the reads, can not be in vain, then take the opportunity to write an article!

Let's talk about these two movies first

The plot of "Flying Over the Madhouse"

This is the story of a normal person in an insane asylum who wants to be free!

In order to escape the forced labor in prison, McMurphy pretended to be mentally ill and was sent to a mental hospital, and his arrival brought a violent impact on the lifeless mental hospital. Mike challenges the hospital's strict management system and is thwarted by the head nurse, Ratchett.

He also led the patients to sneak out to sea to fish, which lifted their spirits, but caused headaches for the hospital. In order to punish Mike for his boldness and repeated violations of the rules of the hospital, the hospital decided to leave him in the madhouse forever.

The free-natured Mike could no longer tolerate life in the lunatic asylum, and he joined forces with his patient, the tall Indian "chief", and began his own plan: to fly over the lunatic asylum.

The film won five awards at the 48th Academy Awards in 1975. The protagonist's spirit of "not being free, preferring to die" still has great practical significance in today's society

The plot of "In the Name of the Father"

This is the story of a family who was innocently framed as a murderer and wanted to wash away their grievances.

It is based on a true story. Gary lived in war-torn Northern Ireland, spending all day doing nothing, stealing chickens and dogs, and inadvertently offending the IRA.

In desperation, his father could only send him to England to break into the world. Unexpectedly, Gary, who had just arrived in England, was slandered by the local police as a murderer of the IRA, and his aunt and family in Britain were imprisoned as thugs.

His father confessed his feelings and was imprisoned. Father and son suffered in prison. It wasn't until many years later that a british female lawyer began investigating this ridiculous injustice from scratch. Can this unjust case be rehabilitated, and can the father and son see each other again?

In "Flying Over the Madhouse", the protagonist thinks of many ways to escape.

For example, he wanted to lift the large cement pier with a water pipe in the patient's bathroom, smash the window and jump out.

Other patients say it is impossible, so heavy you can't move it at all.

He ran over confidently, exerted the strength to suckle, and moved three times without being able to do anything.

Then he stood up helplessly and walked away, saying: At least, I tried!

I was deeply impressed by this scene, tried to know that it was not OK, at least no regrets, knew that this road would not work, and decisively changed another road.

In "In the Name of the Father", Guy is sentenced to life imprisonment, and it is difficult to accept reality at once, so he gives up on himself.

But his father, who was in prison, had been encouraging him to try to talk to the female lawyer and not give up hope, and the miracle really happened.

Many times, we don't even have the courage to try it!

For example, I recently wanted to write a column, did a good job of the framework, and found that the topic was too big and too broad, and it was not easy to write at all.

So I started procrastinating again, wondering if I had to change the subject? What if you want to find a lot of information?

But why not try it? Just write it for yourself.

If not, at least I tried! Is it difficult to say that in the process of writing, preparing materials to collect information, can there be more and better inspiration?

Seeing you here, what have you always wanted to do, but never taken the first step of trying?

2

One of the touching points in "In the Name of the Father" is that the Father and the Son "love and kill each other" .

Guy used to hate his father, thinking he was carved and wooden, and used sand to write his father's name to pee.

When he was arrested and his father went to jail to find him, he was very disgusted and said: Why did you follow him again?!

However, in the small space of the prison, where I had to face my father face to face and spend time and night, the relationship between father and son took a turn for the better.

He angrily told the story of winning a medal as a child, but instead of being praised, he was corrected.

This made the father begin to realize that he had neglected many places about his son in the past.

This is also true in everyday relationships. We always complain in our hearts, family and friends are not doing well, there are missing places, but we can't say it frankly.

So hold your breath and make an awkward fuss, and use a childish way to pay tribute to each other.

In fact, many times, we just need to speak out loud and honestly, and the effect is much better than going around in circles!

You don't say, no one is inherently obligated to understand you.

I used to look up to my relationship with my parents in this way, and I felt that you didn't understand me, but you didn't dare to say it explicitly, but instead took the way of going around in circles to deal with them.

Finally, once I didn't want to go around in circles to perfunctory and coax them, I simply said what I didn't dare to say before.

As a result, they began to look at the problem from my point of view, and slowly reconciled.

Many times we stand in our own shoes, thinking that the other party is talking and doing things in a good way, hurting the other party without knowing it.

If the other person is also in his own point of view, why can't you understand me? Can't see my good? In this way, many barriers and obstacles have been created.

No one really wants to hurt anyone, or deliberately adds to anyone's blockage, just doesn't notice the other person's position and hears his voice.

At this time, who is sad to deal with it, simply say it out loud, love drop it!

Based on honesty and directness, communication that is not deliberately artificial will play a good communication effect.

In "Flying Over the Madhouse", in fact, many people are normal and disease-free, but because a certain card point in their lives cannot pass, they choose to escape and treat themselves as patients.

At first, the protagonist thinks that the people here, like himself, have come as a last resort.

As a result, several of them "escaped from reality" and went to the madhouse.

There are love failures and mother relationships that are not handled well, there are those who mind their wives staring at other men, and there are those who pretend to be stupid and look for a place to live...

Coupled with the deliberate guidance of the head nurse in the madhouse, these people are even more entangled with a small problem, feeling as if they are really a weak person and really sick.

Mike was surprised and began to take them to play and make trouble, to experience the life of normal people, to make them realize that they were normal and could be free.

In "In the Name of the Father", under the guidance of his father, Gai's frivolous mania from the beginning slowly precipitated and faced his own life.

Even if his father died in prison due to illness, he did not give up the hope of exonerating.

Because he really felt later that he was not bad, he couldn't be so chaotic all his life.

So, when we encounter difficulties and setbacks, who are we?

Do you just want to be a giant baby holding your thighs and finding a backer, or a brave person who dares to face the test?

The only difference is, what kind of label do we label ourselves?

4

The female lawyer in "In the Name of the Father" is quite impressive.

Because when she appeared on the scene, she only promised, although she had the idea of helping the father and son in her heart, but the strength of the bottom was not enough, and Gai looked at her and did not believe that a miracle could really happen.

As the investigation unfolded, she and Guy came into contact with each other more and more. Guy told her to look the other person in the eye as she spoke so that others would listen to you.

Later, while she was running around checking the information, she went to the street with the people, and when it came to the trial defense, we saw a lawyer with a loud voice and full of aura!

The Indian "chief" in "Flying Over the Madhouse" has all the strength in the air, but has no idea and sense of existence, and the existence of a big wood.

It was Mike who kicked in his movement and began to blend in with the group, playing basketball to have fun and find friends.

It was also because Mike was later injured by the hospital, and the operation became a veritable "walking dead", which gave the chief the courage to leave with the spirit of a friend.

He moved the large cement pier that everyone thought was impossible before, smashed the window and jumped out of the madhouse, and ran to the vast world.

Both of these characters, who weren't all that strong at first, or didn't know they were strong in their own right.

But it is precisely because there is a heart that wants to help others and puts it into action, and then in the process, adults become successful, harvest growth and strength!

Total knots

There is a long list of very good movies, all of which were selected by Mr. Qifei.

But I haven't had time to look at it, and so far I've only watched 4 of them.

But I like the purpose of the book club:

Through watching movies and reading books, we can expand our horizons, enrich our experience, optimize the humanistic pattern, deepen the knowledge learned in the course, and apply them to daily life.

That is to say, after watching a good movie, we must think in combination with ourselves, otherwise no matter how wonderful the plot is, how handsome the characters are, how beautiful the picture is, and how powerful the lineup is, it has nothing to do with itself.

My plan was to learn the lesson first and then watch the movie.

Before the perception of hindsight is still a "five-year-old nunnery", looking for time to complete the homework

May everyone be full of courage, boldly try the field you love, and take the first step~!
