I don't know if there are many people like me who are interested in ancient ritual activities. This time in Xilingol, I had the honor to participate in the grand Mongolian Ao Bao sacrifice in Wutai, which is known as the "first Ao Bao in the world".
In fact, every year on the thirteenth day of the lunar calendar, the Wutai tourist attractions in Ulan will carry out the annual "the world's largest Ao Bao" sacrifice activities, people dressed in costumes from all directions to participate in the sacrifice ceremony, wutai temple monks in front of the Ao Bao to chant prayers, eliminate disasters and transport ceremonies.
After the festival begins, people offer hada, milk wine, ghee and other foods in front of the sacred Ao Bao to pray for peace and good weather in their hometown.
I saw the uncle in the Mongolian robe, reverently touching the prayer flag hanging in front of the Ao Bao, chanting words in his mouth, and constantly squeezing out the milk to dedicate to the gods.
I watched the children running, and they followed the adults in circles, tiptoed up and touched the prayer flag with their small hands, and their faces were full of laughter.
I also saw many young people in modern costumes who also came to participate in the festival, and the traditional customs did not disappear on them.
It is said that this "world's first Ao Bao" in Wutai wutai was built by Genghis Khan, a generation of heavenly pride. The tall Ao Bao, which is white as a whole, shines under the strong sunlight and is covered with multicolored prayer flags. The meaning of this different color of prayer flags is also different, blue represents blue sky, white represents white clouds, yellow represents land, green represents grass, and red represents the sun. All of this makes up the world in which we live.
Wulan Wutai this scenic spot, in history is very famous, according to historical records: about 1,900 years ago, and Shanxi Wutai (Huang Wutai) at the same time became a Buddhist resort, Wulan Wutai in Mongolian translated as "red", Wulan Wutai scenic spot is one of the "five Wutai Mountains" in history, and Shanxi Wutai Mountain is the same name. At that time, the five stations were divided into red, yellow, blue, green and white, shanxi was yellow five, and Wulan was red five.
Wutai suffered serious damage in the turbulent years of the last century, from 2006, Xiwuqi raised 15 million yuan to repair the Wutai scenic spot, and built the "world's largest Ao Bao" small temple, square, parking lot, comprehensive service area, gravel road, tourist sidewalk, pagoda and other projects, covering an area of 5,000 acres, 68 kilometers away from the town of Balagaol, the seat of the Government of Xiwuqi.
Nowadays, as the Ao Bao festival becomes more and more well known, many tourists will come here to participate in this event, because it is a Buddhist tourist attraction, so there will be more people who believe in Buddhism.
In addition to the famous "World's First Ao Bao", there are also eight Rulai Pagodas standing on the vast grassland, namely: Lotus Pagoda, Bodhi Pagoda, Four Noble Truths Pagoda, Divine Transformation Pagoda, Descending Fan Pagoda, Interpretation Pagoda, Victory Pagoda, and Nirvana Pagoda.
Standing at the highest point of the scenic spot, looking at the white tower hidden on the rolling groups and the turquoise grassland, it will make people quiet inside, completely immersed in the beautiful world in front of them, I personally recommend, taking photos at this angle, the white towers on the hillside one by one, in addition to the emerald green meadows, there are rows of shrubs, the photos will be very layered, and the texture of the atmosphere will come out at once.
In addition, from the wutai temple to the east from the north to the east there are soldiers' piers, sacred fires, six-character scriptures, Genghis Khan iron riding seal, Genghis Khan footprints, stone piers, queen Boerti footprints, riding sheep protector gods, the great black god, cave rocks, bows and arrows, Tianmu footprints, Tianmu screw hoof prints, Tianmu footprints, Genghis Khan stone chairs, around the Wutai Temple to the west there are auspicious Tianmu, Golden Eagle, Changming Lantern, Manjushri Bodhisattva, auspicious Tianmu Cave, Genghis Khan tent, Buddha mother cave, Genghis Khan colt pile, Holy Spring Cave, Rock Blue and other 26 worship points, It is a Sacred Place of Buddhist Tourism that people yearn for.
Of course, the bronze statue of Genghis Khan not far from the entrance to the scenic spot can also be admired.
