【1】"Yellow powder" on the lawn:
Once a yellow "powder" is found on the lawn, like rust, this is rust hazard! This so-called yellow powder is the rusty summer spores. Rust is a common type of turf grass, after the occurrence of the disease, spread rapidly, severe cases can cause lawn leaves curl, into pieces of yellow and death, great harm!
There are usually two peaks a year, from April to June and in late autumn and early winter, and are usually severe on lawns with insufficient sunlight, poor soils, compaction and excessive nitrogen fertilization.
【2】"White powder" on the lawn:
In the process of maintenance, if you find that the lawn is like a layer of white powder, it is lawn powdery mildew, which is an important disease on early maturing grass and fescue. When the disease is serious, the lawn is gray-white, like a layer of white powder, it will be scattered by vibration, the leaves will turn yellow, and die early!
The disease usually occurs seriously in spring and autumn, with older leaves being more severe than new leaves, and powdery mildew aggravated when the lawn is subjected to extreme drought stress.
[3] "Black powder" on the lawn:
In lawn maintenance, there is also a disease that often occurs in the lawn canopy ring-shaped to irregular shape, 2-60 cm in diameter, white, off-white or purple-brown foam-like patches, this is slime mold, slime mold can appear on any lawn, and usually, these slime molds repeat in the same position every year.
Although the mass propagation of slime mold does not parasitize lawn grass, it is thin due to insufficient photosynthesis due to the cover of grass leaves, and the leaves turn yellow and are easily infected by other pathogenic fungi. Cool, humid weather favors the release of zoospores, while warm, humid weather favors the movement of deformants towards the leaf sheaths and leaves of the grass. Abundant soil organic matter is conducive to the occurrence of slime mold diseases.
[4] Comprehensive control measures for three diseases often occur in lawns:
1. Try to create a suitable cultivation and growth environment for the lawn to promote the lush and robust growth of lawn plants. For example, improving soil permeability, strengthening fertilizer water management (balancing fertilizer amount, reasonable drainage and irrigation), moderate pruning, reducing dead grass layer, etc., will greatly reduce the possibility of pathogens.
2. When diseases occur on the lawn, fungicides should be used in time to spray on the surface of lawn plants, commonly used agents such as Qilin Tianjun, Jingbai, Ke Jun, etc., with the language of the years or plant strong effect is better.
