Rational analysis, with the current roster, will the Houston Rockets return to the ranks of the strong teams after two or three years of training?
Here's my prediction for the future development potential of this group of Rockets' major players:
Porter (non-playoff team starter, sixth player on playoff team).
Green (who has the potential to become a star player, but so far it doesn't live up to expectations).
TOEFL (has the potential to become the sixth man on a strong team, similar to the role played by the Jazz's Clarkson).
Knicks (stinky fish and shrimp, I was quite bullish on him last season, and I feel that his style of play is a bit like Kidd).
Taytay (Steady style, low ceiling, good to be a qualified substitute in control).
Gordon (not in the long-term plan).
Tate (playoff team steady bench).
Matthews (not in the long-term plan).
Martin Jr. (not in the long-term plan).
Shin Kyung (playoff team's starting level center, it would be nice to reach Nurkic's level).
Smith (Title starter).
Ethan (playoff team starter).
Garuba (playoff team steady substitute).
Overall, the Rockets have not selected players at the core level of the team in the past two years, and it is good that this roster can become a regular in the playoffs. Hopefully, next year's draft will pick a core of the team, or sign some big names in the trade market next year.
