Two years ago, when he was the head of the water protection station, it was at a time when there was a lot of rainfall in the upper reaches of the Miyun Reservoir and the high water level of the reservoir was running, and it was indeed difficult to achieve "clear water and clean water into the reservoir".

Soil and water conservation has an industry term called "tree disc", which is to use engineering measures to fence large trees to retain rainwater, which not only nourishes large trees, but also prevents sand from being swept into the reservoir. Around the reservoir, on the dense cloud boundary, hundreds of square kilometers of mountainous land, thousands of large trees grow, many of which have to be built under the "plate". It was the middle of the day, Ha Aimin took his teammates into the dense forest. Despite the sweltering heat, long sleeves and trousers were required to avoid being scratched by leaves, while many bare skin were still sawn and filed, and sweat mercilessly rubbed salt on the wound, which was a piercing pain. If the soil and water conservation station is one eye of the Miyun Reservoir, then the other eye of the reservoir is called the "Xiahui Hydrological Station". The hydrological station is located on the main stream of the Chaohe River upstream of the reservoir, about 50 kilometers away from the reservoir, and is a national basic station, with a control basin area of 5,340 square kilometers. This station was built in 1959 and moved to Xiahui Village in 1976, and several generations of hydrologists guarded the depths of the mountains, observing the water level, flow, precipitation, sediment content, water temperature, air temperature, ice conditions and evaporation of the Chaohe River all year round, and the data was transmitted to the Beijing Flood Prevention Office more than 100 kilometers away in real time, providing an important reference for the city's flood control command and dispatch. In other words, these data directly determine whether the Miyun Reservoir stores water or discharges, providing a basic guarantee for the safety of the reservoir.

The current station manager is Tian Guosheng, 54 years old this year, tall, slightly hunched over, with a rectangular face. In 1986, at the age of 18, he joined the workforce, working as a contract worker, a contract worker, and later a contract worker. It has been 36 years since stepping on the waves of the tide and watching the safety of the reservoir.

Talking about the past of the reservoir, Tian Guosheng must mention his master Wang Yangcai every time. Master Wang not only taught him hydrological observation techniques, but also gave him unlimited spiritual power.

In the 80s of the 20th century, winters were colder than now, and the temperature in the mountains was often below minus 20 degrees Celsius. In the morning, when the sky was just dawning, and it was when the "ghost teeth" were cold and evil, he carried the instrument and went out with the master.

The river is frozen and the ice is slippery. The master and apprentice walked along the river, found a thin place in the ice, poked a hole with a steel brazing, and inserted the bathymetric rod into it. There was no place to tie the rope, so the master took a handful of water, poured it on the ice, rested on a stone, and froze after a while. The master's hands were immediately frozen into purple eggplant.

They were busy measuring the flow alive, but the master fell into the river with one foot. When Tian Guosheng reacted and reached out to drag the master, the master turned over, and the cotton clothes and pants on his body were already soaked. Tian Guosheng asked the master to go back first, and he stayed to continue working.

Not long after, the villagers came to him and said that the master could not walk on the halfway. Tian Guosheng hurriedly rushed over and found that the master's cotton clothes and pants were frozen into ice, and his legs could not be bent at all. He found a flatbed truck from the village and pushed the master back into it. Back at the station, they put the master flat on two chairs and roasted next to the briquette stove. The master's legs and feet gradually became able to move.

Tian Guosheng also fell into the river many times. For many years, in the water, he fell into the old cold legs, even in summer, he had the feeling of cool breeze in his legs, and autumn pants became his "personal equipment".

In 1995, the master reached retirement age, and the work required and he was willing, and he was hired back for two years. Two years later, the master left the Xiahui Hydrological Station, leaving Tian Guosheng with a stubble "child", year after year, day after day, to wade through the water, to smash the ice. At night, it was dark by the river, and the sound of wind, rain, and running water was heard in my ears; During the day, the river flows endlessly, and the waves rise, fall, and torrent swell in front of you.

In recent years, the precipitation upstream of the reservoir has increased, especially after the water transferred from the south to the north into Beijing, the water storage of the Miyun Reservoir has increased year after year, and others have to run to the river to "ask for data" when they see the rain.

So far, the Xiahui Hydrological Station has not had a single misreporting, omission or false alarm, and a safety rope has been attached to the Miyun Reservoir. Wang Yangcai and Tian Guosheng have been successively rated as national labor models and national advanced workers. "These things are our business!" Tian Guosheng said.

Duan Xiaolong, with a medium-to-upper stature and a naturally smiling face, even spoke in a somewhat polite tone, but made those "water thieves" afraid when they saw it. Less than 50 years old, nearly 30 years of service, he has been doing one thing: protecting the Miyun Reservoir. In 1995, at the age of 21, he entered the Miyun Fisheries Bureau; In 2016, he joined the water detachment of the Miyun Reservoir Joint Law Enforcement Brigade; In the same year, he was transferred to the Xiweng Zhuang Law Enforcement Detachment. He is now the leader of the Xiweng Zhuang detachment, and he is dark during the day, in the wind and rain, or on the water boating and ripening the waves, or patrolling and squatting around. Year-year, month-month, day, and so on.

On May 6, 2010, Duan Xiaolong drove the team to the reservoir area for inspection, and found a van in the distance, several people closed the box, and was starting the motor to drive. Based on his professional experience, he concluded that he was a sneaky fisherman. It was already a fishing ban and had to be stopped. He led law enforcement officers to rush over and ordered a stop for inspection. The wheels were about to move, and he strode to the front of the car, blocking it. At this time, someone with a club, screamed, knocked him to the ground, and the illegal fishing vehicle took the opportunity to escape.

Duan Xiaolong was sent to the town hospital, which could not be treated and transferred to Miyun County Hospital. The group learned of Duan Xiaolong's injury, knew that the situation was serious, interceded with acquaintances, and wanted to spend money to avoid disaster. "This is not my personal matter, it is related to the law enforcement ecology of the entire reservoir area and the water quality safety of the Miyun Reservoir, and must be severely punished in accordance with laws and regulations!" Duan Xiaolong showed no mercy at all. In the end, the suspect was sentenced.

On the night of May 20, 2017, Duan Xiaolong led law enforcement officers to inspect the waters of Jiusongshan in the Miyun Reservoir and found that there were lights shaking by the river, outflanking it. Sure enough, two illegal fishermen who were electric fish, three tool batteries, a booster, an electric copy, and a fish basket full of stolen fish.

Fish are the best animals for purifying water quality, and every March the relevant departments release a large number of fry, and electric fish operators sweep away the fish of all ages, young and old, and even "pregnant women", which is an extremely serious illegal act. After the joint handling of the case by relevant departments, the Beijing Miyun District People's Court (2017) Beijing 0118 Criminal Chu No. 196 Criminal Judgment wrote: Defendants Qi and Wang violated the laws and regulations on the protection of aquatic resources and used prohibited tools and methods to catch aquatic products during the fishing ban period, and the circumstances were serious, and their behavior constituted the crime of illegal fishing of aquatic products and should be punished according to law.

This is the first case in Beijing to be sentenced for electric fish, which not only changes the previous model of "managing by fine", but also has a fast speed and smooth procedure for law enforcement, which has greatly deterred criminals. Since then, illegal fishing in the reservoir has gradually subsided.

At present, there are 5 automatic monitoring stations in the Miyun Reservoir, distributed in different locations in the reservoir area, which can monitor 17 water quality projects. They either sailed on the water in a testing boat or drove in the surrounding ravines.

In winter, the water is frozen, and there is snow on the ice, which makes it even colder. They put safety ropes around their waists and then went to the monitoring point, smashed the ice and tested the water quality. The white snow and ice are dotted with red, green or yellow down jackets. In the cold wind, they either stomp their feet or rub their hands, and then continue to work red-faced. With one mouth, there is a burst of heat.

In summer, the sun shines directly on the water, and when you wear sunscreen clothing, your delicate skin is still roasted purple red. From May to October, during the flood season, they would take a testing boat to the testing section and sampling site every week, put the collection bottles with different labels on the deck, put the samples in the bottles, and take them back to the laboratory.

The detection of volatile phenols is a big test that Li Xinyue once faced in the laboratory. Volatile phenol is a toxic substance that requires the inspector to hold the separating funnel and shake it at a constant speed, which must be shaken 300 times every 5 minutes. For Li Xinyue, every 5 minutes is so long, and every 300 strokes is so far away. She shook the bottle and counted.

Day after day, week after week. A few years have passed, and various tests have become commonplace.

In the past, Li Xinyue envisioned a future in which she worked in the city, squeezed the subway and bus every day, rushed to the unit, and hurried home, bustling in a hurry; Now, working in the reservoir, getting up in the morning, going to the cafeteria to eat after a simple wash, going to work after eating, and returning to the dormitory after work, although there is a bit of loneliness in the monotony, but the heart is indifferent.

In the past, Li Xinyue could not swim, and every time she met her mother, she worriedly told her to "wear a life jacket"; Now, whether on a speedboat or a water quality testing boat, she excitedly says, "It's great to sail on the water." ”

In the past, Li Xinyue looked at mountains as mountains and water as water.
