At about 1 p.m. on September 9, Hong Kong police detonated a 70-year-old British-style mine left over from World War II in the waters across the northeast of Tsuru Tsui, stirring up waves on the sea. This is the first time that a mine has been found in Hong Kong waters in shallow waters on the seabed 1.4 km and about 15 metres deep, 1.4 km northeast of Tsuru Tsui. On the same day, police blocked the water area within one kilometer of the mine's location to deal with the mine.
The picture shows the police detonating mines, and the sea surface stirs up waves.
