A tribe with only two toes? A tribe of ostriches called "Vadoma" was found in Zimbabwe, which carries a genetic "external finger" defect that has only two toes and is often referred to as "ostrich claws".
The Ostrich Tribe is the only hunter-gatherer tribe in Zimbabwe to live in the Kanyemba region around the tributary basin of the Zambezi River Valley. They speak Delmar, and their beliefs are also peculiar: they believe that their ancestors came out of baobab trees.
This tribe is the only non-agricultural society in Zimbabwe. People of this tribe are forbidden to have marriages with people outside the tribe. They use their feet to easily climb trees and gather food. People at vadoma don't think it's a genetic defect, but rather a blessing passed down from generation to generation. Because such two toes are very suitable for their lives, they find it convenient to have two toes to hunt and collect fruits.
