The baby sperm whale, which is about 2.9 meters long, is presumed to have been stranded by waves crashing into the shoals. The baby sperm whale is a small toothed whale that is mainly distributed in the tropical and temperate waters of the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans, with adult bodies up to 3.5 meters long, a weight of up to 400 pounds, and a lifespan of up to 23 years. Baby sperm whales feed mainly on marine cephalopods such as squid, and predators include great white sharks and killer whales. Photographer: Irwan Abdul Latif
