Above the square, the lights are bright, and 100,000 people gather here, waiting for the opening of a grand event. Accompanied by deafening cheers, Israeli President Rabin took the stage and delivered an impassioned peace speech. But the next second, the gunshots rang out, and Rabin was assassinated and fell to the ground, shocking the world.
Three years later, then-US President Clinton was exposed to the "zipper door", and the scandal of his cheating on White House intern Lewinsky caused a great sensation. For a time, Clinton's credibility plummeted, and he even became the second president in U.S. history to be impeached.
Years later, however, Clinton said in her memoirs that it was Rabin's death that led to Lewinsky's appearance.
Why did Clinton say that? What is the connection between the three? Behind the sensational "zipper door", what are the hidden secrets that no one knows?

First, the earth-shattering scandal: Clinton after the "zipper door"

Clinton said it was the assassination of Israeli President Rabin in 1995 that led to Lewinsky's appearance.

It is because of Rabin's actions that the Middle East has ushered in the dawn of peace. Rabin himself has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize several times.
Rabin's move, however, has left many extreme right-wingers in Israel unhappy. They denounced Rabin as a traitor to the Jews, calling him a "traitor." Therefore, the group planned many times to murder Rabin.
On November 4, 1995, Rabin came to King's Square in Tel Aviv, where he was going to give a peace speech.
Although it is night, it is brightly lit and excited people block the square. In the anticipation and cheers of the crowd, Rabin took a firm step to the stage, and after the speech, there was thunderous applause and many supporters. The masses in the square even spontaneously played and sang the "Song of Peace" to express their deep yearning for peace.
But to everyone's surprise, the accident happened at this moment.
Suddenly, a gunshot awakened the crowd immersed in the joyous atmosphere, only to see Rabin fall to the ground. Just an hour later, Rabin was declared ineffective and died at the age of 75.
Rabin's death caused great shock both inside and outside Israel, and governments and leaders sent condolences to remember Rabin's contributions, and Clinton was one of them.
As for rabin's death, why lewinsky appeared, Clinton once gave a clear answer in his autobiography.
He said that he had encountered major setbacks in his life, which made him begin to hate public opinion, and even wanted to retaliate against public opinion. At this time, cheating with Lewinsky was the best way.
