Against the backdrop of escalating tensions in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, a video released on August 16 by the social platform showed Azerbaijan sending hundreds of additional military trucks, armored vehicles, armored personnel carriers and other weapons and equipment to the Armenian border in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. There are also drone flights over the sky.

A similar situation occurred at the end of July half a month ago, when Azerbaijan launched an offensive in the Nagorno-Karabakh region and occupied several key heights. The intention of the offensive was to force Armenia to abandon the Rachin Corridor (the middle passage connecting the Armenian mainland with the Nagorno-Karabakh region) and to use the new corridor opened by Azerbaijan in favor of the new corridor passage opened by Azerbaijan. There are many populations and important towns along the Lachin Corridor, while the new Corridor is sparsely populated. Retaking the Lachin Corridor would be equivalent to taking back many of the resources and military strongholds of the Nagorno-Karabakh region.

Azerbaijani officials have not commented on the delivery of military equipment to the Armenian border. Not long ago, however, Azerbaijan issued an ultimatum demanding the immediate withdrawal of Armenian troops from the region and the demilitarization of the unrecognized "Republic of Alcah" (i.e., Nagorno-Karabakh).

Iran, which is a simultaneous neighbor of Azerbaijan and Armenia, has repeatedly stated that the borders of the Caucasus countries must not be changed and that the violation of Armenia's borders is its "red line".
