After bringing in Belgian rising star De Caterell at a hefty transfer fee, AC Milan's transfer window remains unclosed. Pioli's side still needs to replenish fresh blood in the position of back and centre-back. Constrained by a transfer fee budget, Maldini and Marsala have only tried to find low-cost reinforcement options to enable the club's signings this summer.

Originally in the center-back position, Diallo of Paris, Tottenham's Tanganga and Frankfurt's Ndicca are all targets on AC Milan's signing list. But both Paris and Tottenham hottest have asked the Rossoneri to include a mandatory buyout clause in their contracts, and they prefer to have an option to buy out after one season. Frankfurt's current contract with Ndicka is only one year old, the prospects for a contract extension between the two sides are uncertain, and the difficulty of the transfer operation may be even lower.

Italian media also confirmed in recent days that the Rossoneri's current interest in Ndica has exceeded the reinforcement options on other defensive lines. However, since the player has entered the final year of his contract, Pioli's team can only sign him as a direct transfer. According to German media reports, AC Milan management Maldini has recently made a video call with the player himself and hopes to persuade the player to accept the Rossoneri invitation in the communication. Eintracht Frankfurt had already been aware of the Rossoneri's interest in the 22-year-old defender and did not mind leaving the squad this summer.

The Bundesliga powerhouse has a transfer fee of around €18 million, while AC Milan hopes to close the deal in the range of €10 million to €15 million. It is worth mentioning that Frankfurt swallowed a 1-6 fiasco in the first home match of the Bundesliga new season against league overlord Bayern Munich, and Ndicca also played the whole game in this round of starting, although contributing the most 5 times in the game, but still powerless to change the team's decline, but also ate a yellow card. Such an outcome could allow Eintracht Frankfurt to rebuild the team's defence and accelerate Ndicca's exit negotiations, thus bringing in suitable substitutes in the coming time.
