Pink Flamingo World! Photographer Claudio Contreras Koob captures the everyday flamingo of the Judean Peninsula
The Ría Lagartos Biosphere Reserve in Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula is one of the most important habitats for flamingoes, and every year these big pink birds flock to the wetland environment to breed, and in 2021 alone, there will be about 15,000 flamingo nests and 30,000 adult flamingos, while Mexican photographer Claudio Contreras Koob captures the world of these birds with pink feathers!
Biologist and photographer Claudio Contreras Koob has been visiting flamingos in the reserve for many years, documenting their behavior and habits, and in collaboration with the publisher teNeues Verla and the Nature Picture Library, he has assembled the photographs taken during the visit into a photo album Flamingo, which contains a total of 132 photographs, using God's perspective to overlook the rose-colored dots formed by the flamingos on a green background. There are a few splashes of water that capture the flamingo as it prepares to cross the river from a flat perspective, and there is a precious picture of the little flamingo hiding in its mother's orange-red arms with only half its head exposed.
