Liam Neeson
He was a female protector who had killed hundreds of people to save his daughter; he was a pioneer in the rescue, and there was no one he could not save. He was Liam Neeson.
Early life
Liam Neeson was born in Ballymena, Northern Ireland in 1952. His father was a cook and his mother was an elementary school administrator. He is the third of four siblings. Neeson said growing up as a Catholic in a predominantly Protestant town made him cautious. In a 2009 interview, Neeson said, "I never stopped thinking (trouble). I know some of the perpetrators and victims. Protestants and Catholics. It's part of my DNA. “
At the age of 9, Neeson began boxing lessons at the Halloween Youth Club, later won many regional championships, and retired at the age of 17. He was an actor in school performances as a teenager. Neeson's interest in acting and his decision to become an actor was influenced by members of the local church. Neeson once commented: "His presence is wonderful, and it is incredible to watch him sing the Bible non-stop... It was a show, it was a great show, it was exciting. ”
In 1971, Neeson entered Queen's University Belfast to study physics and computer science, after which he went to work for Guinness Brewing Company. At Queen's College, he often played football and was spotted by the manager of Bohemia FC. Nissen was invited to a club audition in Dublin, where Neeson made a substitute appearance against the Clover Rangers but did not perform well.
Acting career
In 1976, Neeson worked for two years at the Actors Theatre in Belfast. He later starred in the King Arthurian film The Dark Ages (1981). Between 1982 and 1987, Neeson starred in five films, most notably Rebel Blood (1984) with Mel Gibson and Anthony Hopkins, and The Church (1986) with Robert De Niro and Jeremy Irons. He starred with Patrick Swazi in 1989's Close Relatives.

Neeson rose to fame for playing Oscar Schindler in Schindler's List (1993). Neeson was appointed officer of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II in 2000. In 2008, the Irish Foundation presented Neeson with the Performing Arts Award at a dinner in New York in recognition of his great achievements for Ireland. In 2009, at a ceremony in New York, Neeson was awarded an honorary doctorate by Queen's University Belfast. On 9 April 2016, the Irish Film and Television Institute presented him with the Outstanding Contribution to Film Award at his official residence in Dublin. In 2017, British firm Richtopia ranked Neeson as the 200 most influential philanthropists and social entrepreneurs in the world, ranking 74th. In January 2018, he was awarded the IrishMan's Outstanding Service Award to the Irish President.
