About Bradley Brothers (Lind Lynde and Harry Bradley Harry Bradley)

Lynde and Harry Bradley are brothers who founded one of the largest electronics companies in the country. They first used the proceeds of success to improve their hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and later began to support the cause of free markets and free people.

The brothers' grandfather, a former mayor of Milwaukee, grew up in a large house on the shores of Lake Michigan. However, their father lived a life of running from adventure to adventure, but never succeeded. By the time Linde was in high school, the boys' mothers had to take boarders to pay the bills. Linde was a natural engineer who had been tinkering with electrical mechanisms during his childhood. He obtained his first patent at the age of 16. Penniless and with no hope of going to college, he dropped out of high school and opened an X-ray lab to seek diagnoses of wounds and accidents with doctors and lawyers. His younger brother Harry often worked with him as an unpaid assistant.

In 1985, Allen-Bradley sold to Rockwell International for $1.65 billion. Some of the proceeds from the sale went to the Lind and Harry Bradley Foundations, bringing their assets to more than $290 million, making it one of the largest foundations in the United States at the time.
