Frightened, Hu Weiyong's mind was confused, he didn't understand, he was a grand chancellor, Zhu Yuanzhang would actually ask for his own life for a coachman!
Therefore, he prostrated his head in a hurry, a handful of snot and a handful of tears accused the groom and the pedestrian of their "fault", and said that he was willing not to pursue it anymore, and even wanted to take the gold and compensate the driver's family. ”
It seems that Zhu Yuanzhang had long wanted Hu Weiyong's life, and "paying for the life of the coachman" was just an excuse under the anger, but it was really not enough to take the life of the "head of a hundred officials".
In October of the same year, Hu Weiyong did something and once again personally put Zhu Yuanzhang's knife on his neck.
The Champa State (present-day central Vietnam) sent an envoy to pay tribute, but Hu Weiyong did not play the matter until the mission arrived in the capital, and Zhu Yuanzhang did not know about it.
This is a serious diplomatic incident! Zhu Yuanzhang could no longer suppress the anger he had accumulated for a long time, and scolded Hu Weiyong and Wang Guangyang, who were in charge of this matter!
Hu Weiyong hurriedly made a grievance, a handful of snot and a handful of tears, and pushed all the responsibility to the Rebbe, he thought that this could end the matter, but he did not expect that he overestimated Zhu Yuanzhang's patience with him.
Zhu Yuanzhang did not listen to Hu Weiyong's explanation at all, and first executed Wang Guangyang, and then arrested all those involved in the matter.
This arrest caused turmoil in the court, and the people of the crowd were panicked, and everyone broke off relations with Hu Weiyong one after another. But at this moment, Hu Weiyong's close associate, Tu Jie, who was then yushi Zhongcheng, quietly told Zhu Yuanzhang all the things that Hu Weiyong had done and premeditated.
Zhu Yuanzhang waited for this moment, he immediately ordered the execution of Hu Weiyong and his henchmen, and exterminated the three tribes of the Hu family, and then ordered: in-depth investigation of all people related to Hu, if it is found to be true, all will be executed!
Due to the large number of people involved, cases related to Hu Weiyong have been investigated for several years, and more than 10,000 people have been killed.
It is reasonable to say that Hu Weiyong is a "elder-level" figure, how could he be hated by Zhu Yuanzhang as such?
Because the talent that Zhu Yuanzhang admired and trusted was brilliant, but Hu Weiyong, who was hard-working and hard-working, rigorous and measured, no longer existed.
