Choi&sup/Kim Won-ho had three chances to bring South Korea to the semi-finals, but Sogad/Rasmussen turned things around with better luck and tenacious struggle.
Wu Yanqin returned
No one can be sure how Welly-he performed at the Uber Cup. The former world junior champion returned to the top after competing in low-level events for several years and staying out of the spotlight at the Korea Open. However, in just two chances at the Uber Cup, Wu showed off her abilities well, beating Lane and challenging Indanon in three games. Her form should be good news for all fans, especially for Malaysia, which is missing women's singles leader.
Mrs. Little Bob's unexpected courage
A men's singles match of 1 hour and 58 minutes is almost unheard of. Cramping after the third set with Lu Guangzu, Popov Jr. could barely survive the last few matches – however, the young Frenchman not only finished the game, he also completed the fifth game with Big Popov, and the brothers played against Liu Yuchen and Ou Xuanyi, who had rested for a full game. The next day, he played in singles and doubles against Denmark.
Badminton relaxing moments
There were several fantastic matches in the Toyu Cup final, but the two matches involving "Ben" NamThakarn and "Oat" Chaneng Phong became a hot topic on social media because of the acrobatic skills of the two Thais. Not long ago, Momota Kendou led the team to an unprecedented height. At this year's Thomas Cup, the Japanese ace player appeared unstable – easily losing to Li Zijia and Jin Ting. The victory over Zhou Tiancheng saved his reputation to some extent, but fans hoped that Momota Kendou would regain his confidence at his peak, when the Japanese team could almost directly determine the first singles point.
