Patterns, paints, brushes... The jewelry designer who incarnates as "Little Blue"

On May 10, volunteers took photos at the Nanshagou nucleic acid testing site in Yuetan Street after drawing the "art two-meter line".

According to the requirements of epidemic prevention and control in Beijing, from May 12, 48-hour nucleic acid certificates are required to enter public places.

The demand for nucleic acid testing by residents has increased compared with usual, and many places have begun to increase nucleic acid testing points, and the workload has greatly increased. Yuetan Street organized a volunteer team of nearly 500 people, busy at various points in the jurisdiction, together with medical staff and community workers to become the main force in the fight against the epidemic.

Sign up for epidemic prevention volunteers

Chen Jin is the jewelry design director of the jewelry enterprise "Colorful Yunnan" in the jurisdiction of Yuetan Street. After the epidemic began, she took the initiative to sign up as an epidemic prevention volunteer of the "two new" organization in Yuetan Street.

At 5:30 a.m. on May 5, the sky in Beijing gradually brightened, and After washing, Chen Jin did not care about dressing up and eating, and went straight from outside the Guang'an Gate to the Tiesan Community of Yuetan Street. In the Tiesan community, Chen Jin wore an N95 mask and covered her capable short hair with a protective mask, and her thin figure turned into "Little Blue" after putting on a protective suit. At 6:30, the nucleic acid test began, and the heavily armed Chen Jin began to be busy.

On May 18, on Nanlishi Road, Chen Jin was maintaining the order of the nucleic acid team.

There are many elderly people in the Tiesan community, and the epidemic prevention and control has made a considerable number of elderly people live alone at home. Chen Jin remembered her mother in Changsha, who had not returned to her hometown to visit her for more than a year.

Chen Jin pays special attention to the elderly who go out alone to do nucleic acid, many of them are not skilled in the operation of smart phones, Chen Jin will help them operate and register Beijing Health Treasure in turn and scan the code to register personal information, "Some elderly people's appearance and photos in the system are very different, and the face recognition process is not smooth when registering the system." There are also some people who only have elderly machines, or people with pop-up windows, who need to register information manually." During the volunteer service, Chen Jin deeply felt the difficulty of the elderly and was touched by their attitude of actively cooperating with epidemic prevention work.

Work "volunteer" is not wrong

After 12 o'clock, most of the residents in the community had completed nucleic acid testing, and Chen Jin ended her volunteer activities and rushed to work at the unit.

As a designer, Chen Jin in the office always looks very delicate, she likes to wear Chinese cheongsam and jade jewelry – all of which are her own designs. She would take her pet parrot, Da Vinci, to work.

On May 16, outside Guang'an Gate, Chen Jin was at home video chatting with her mother in Changsha, and Chen Jin's parrot also stayed on the sofa with her.

Drawing the "Art Two-Meter Line"

With the normalization of nucleic acid testing, waiting in line to do nucleic acid has become the daily life of residents, and the thin "two-meter line" is easy to be ignored by residents in line, the queue is deformed, the spacing is shortened, which is not conducive to epidemic prevention and control, and the boredom of waiting for nucleic acid testing is also easy to make people feel tired. Yuetan Street hopes to optimize the "two-meter line" so that residents can actively maintain the formation while alleviating the fatigue caused by waiting.

Yuetan Street launched a creative call for the transformation of the "two-meter line" to the volunteers, Chen Jin immediately signed up to participate, and also called other jewelry designer colleagues of the company to join the ranks of volunteers, together with the street staff, members of the "two new" party organizations, etc.

Choosing patterns, preparing paints, planning venues... On May 10, Chen Jin and other volunteers drew the first batch of "art two-meter lines" at the nanshagou nucleic acid testing site in Yuetan Street.

On May 10, at the nanshagou nucleic acid testing point in Yuetan Street, a child became interested in the "art two-meter line", and Chen Jin let the children experience the feeling of painting by hand.

"Frequent ventilation", "body temperature measurement", "do not get together"... Exquisite "art two-meter lines" with cartoon characters and propaganda slogans emerged under the skillful hands of Volunteers such as Chen Jin, and also attracted the attention of passing residents. Residents looked fresh and came forward to communicate with the painting volunteers: which kind of paint is suitable for painting on the ground, how much solvent is added, what kind of pattern is more suitable for appearing in the nucleic acid testing queue; there are also children who are eager to try, Chen Jin generously handed over his paintbrush and taught them how to create.

After the completion of the "Art Two-Meter Line", Chen Jin and other volunteers designed and produced the "Sinology 100 Questions Two-Meter Line" sticker, which was printed on the sticker in the form of a Sinology knowledge question and pasted on the ground, acting as a "two-meter line", so that the residents in line could learn about traditional Chinese culture while waiting. At the nucleic acid testing point, parents can often be seen pointing to these special "two-meter lines" to explain to their children.

These "two-meter lines", which have been endowed with art and culture, are loved by the residents and make Chen Jin feel a great sense of accomplishment. But she does not want these "two-meter lines" to continue to exist, Chen Jin hopes that through everyone's joint efforts to end the epidemic as soon as possible, then these "art two-meter lines" will be torn off or washed off, the streets will return to their original state, and life will return to normal.
