Chip imports have shrunk, with Chinese companies making 28 billion units a month
According to domestic media reports, in the past 1-4 months, the mainland's total imports of chips were 186 billion, a decrease of 24 billion chips compared with the data from January to April 2021. In addition, according to the integrated circuit output data line provided by the China Business Intelligence Network, the output of integrated circuits in mainland China in January and February 2022 was 57.3 billion, and the output in March was 28.5 billion, that is to say, Chinese enterprises can create more than 28 billion chips per month. It is foreseeable that domestic chips have begun to rise, and many fields have been able to compete with imported chips and are fully capable of achieving "localization".
China's manufacturing industry has always been world-famous, and consumers around the world know that China's exports are the most popular, even those luxury brands that foreigners are proud of, and when they reach our platform, they have to be repriced.

Demand for chips in various industries around the world has soared, with Chinese companies' imports of chip manufacturing equipment up 55% year-on-year in 2021, but falling by 1.9% in the first quarter of this year.
Regarding the chip imports being cut, the import volume of chip manufacturing equipment declined, mainly due to the continuous improvement of the localization of chips and related manufacturing equipment.
Chip localization is unstoppable
After the old United States tasted the "sweetness" of some Chinese companies, the United States has been staging a "supply cut" event in the past two years, such as the current Russian market, Intel, Apple, Google and other giants have withdrawn, bringing many adverse effects to some local users, which has led to the decline in the reputation of some American companies in the world, and many Chinese companies are seeking safer supply chain guarantees to ensure the diversification of the core supply chain.
For example, Xiaomi, Glory, OPPO, etc. in the mobile phone market, in addition to using Qualcomm's Snapdragon chips, are also increasing support for MediaTek, not only that, major mobile phone manufacturers also have independently developed mobile phone chips, such as Xiaomi's surging C series ISP chips, OPPO's AI chips Mariana X, etc.
In the chip manufacturing process, due to the embargo of Laomei, ASML EUV lithography machine can not be purchased, which also prompts Chinese companies to become more and more local in procurement. According to the recent purchase list of Shanghai Jita Semiconductor, among the 33 sets of equipment purchased by the company, most of the etching machine, Krf lithography machine, i-line lithography machine, etc. are domestic equipment, and it can be said that the localization of chips has been unstoppable. And in wafers, photoresists and other materials, we have also achieved independent controllability, if the 28nm precision lithography machine can land next year, basically can achieve 100% localization.
What about EUV lithography machines?
The EUV lithography machine is the core equipment used in the manufacture of 5nm and more advanced process chips, which is also difficult for mainland chip manufacturers to purchase. Since Huawei's high-end chips could not be mass-produced, the Chinese Academy of Sciences announced at the first time that it would launch the efforts of the whole hospital to overcome the problem of lithography machines. What makes the Chinese people happy is that the Chinese Academy of Sciences has announced the list of some responsible personnel, and in the list, there is no shortage of people with previous ASML core research and development experience as the leader of the research group.
The rapid development of domestic chips and chip manufacturing enterprises, coupled with the help of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, in fact, the end has become more and more clear. Perhaps, domestic chips can play a major role in the international market in the future.
