Viareggio (Italian: Viareggio) is a city located in the northern part of the Tuscany region of Italy. With a population of about 63,000 people, it is the second largest city in the province of Lucca. Viareggio is both a seaside resort and a manufacturing hub with an area of 31.88 square kilometers.
It is also the place where italy's famous carnival is held.
