The 10,000-person almsgiving activity will begin at 6:00 a.m. on May 14, and the administrative departments at all levels in Mandalay Province and caring citizens will give breakfast and goods to 10,264 monks during the designated almsgiving time. This is not the first time that a large-scale almsgiving event has been held in Mandalay, and before the epidemic, the number of monks who came to receive alms received more than 30,000 people.

It is reported that on the 14th, 2566 monks will receive alms on the east side of the 66 moats, 2566 monks will receive almsgiving on the south side of 26 moats, 2566 monks will receive almsgiving on the west side of 80 moats, and 2566 monks will receive almsgiving on the north side of 12 moats.

A person in charge of the Almsgiving Association said that on the full day of the 14th moon, the Mandalay provincial government invited 10,000 monks to participate in the almsgiving meeting, and people from other provinces and states may come to participate, not just the local people.
