After offending the Chinese mainland, Lithuanian agricultural products were set up by the Taiwan authorities, and they were confused and had no way to do anything

Retribution is never absent, and the Taiwan authorities cannot bear to "set up cards" for agricultural products, offending Lithuania, which has Chinese mainland, and suddenly there is nothing they can do.

As we know, the relations between Taiwan and Lithuania were quite warm some time ago. In November last year, although Chinese mainland had been opposed, Lithuania had Taiwan set up a "representative office in Lithuania and Taiwan", taiwan is not Taipei, this is a matter of nature.

Lithuania was the first European country to blatantly open a "Taiwan representative office". Therefore, the Chinese mainland side downgraded diplomatic relations with Lithuania to the level of chargé d'affaires. Of course, our huge Chinese mainland market of 1.4 billion people will not be opened to Lithuania again.

Therefore, at that time, Lithuania's beef, dairy products, red wine, beer, etc., suddenly lost Chinese mainland market. As consumers of Chinese mainland, we have money, but we have the right to choose which country to buy. In this context, Lithuania, seeing that the situation is not right, has set its sights on the Taiwan region.

Although as we all know, Taiwan is too small compared to the mainland. But it was also a market, so Lithuania had been asking Taiwan to sell its goods there, and the Taiwan authorities agreed. First, a batch of Lithuanian beer called Wolflang was sold to Taiwan.

At that time, the DPP authorities in Taiwan were still quite excited, shouting that it didn't matter, and that the mainland would not buy us. To tell the truth, the same beer sold by Lithuania to Taiwan is not a price at all in Chinese mainland and Taiwan, and it is much cheaper in Chinese mainland, but the Taiwan authorities have no choice but to eat dumb losses, after all, they feel that Lithuania is politically helpful.

But to be honest, the Taiwan market is so small, it is really not that we look down on it, it is too limited. Therefore, Lithuania was a lion who opened its mouth at that time, thinking that Taiwan could not only accept beer, but also had a lot of agricultural products and other goods, and Taiwan had to buy them all. Forced to do so, the Taiwan authorities came up with a way to set up a license for these agricultural products and some other commodities in Lithuania in January this year.

What the Taiwan authorities mean is that lithuanian exports to the Taiwan region, including imports from Lithuania from the Taiwan region, must go through the formalities and procedures of the Eight Classics and must apply for a permit. However, from January to now, it has been almost 5 months, and lithuania has not been granted this permit at all.

That is to say, this threshold set by Taiwan for Lithuania is likely to be artificial and deliberate, that is, to drag on this issue. In fact, Lithuania's attitude toward the Taiwan authorities has not been hot all the time, but hot and cold. When Lithuania is happy, or finds Taiwan useful, then it is better for the Taiwan authorities. At other times, Taiwan wants to talk to Lithuania about something, and Lithuania does not care about Taiwan.

Under such circumstances, the Taiwan authorities were still uncomfortable in their hearts, so they used this market as a tool to deliberately embarrass Lithuania.

At present, the Lithuanian side has no way to do anything, giving the argument that it is negotiating with the Taiwan side, but Taiwan has not yet said what the situation is that it refuses to accept these agricultural products.

The Tsai authorities have a saying, as mentioned above, that is, the license has not been processed and the procedure is not compliant. Another way of saying this is that the Taiwan authorities have already stated that there is a problem with the quality of these agricultural products, and for the sake of the health of the people in Taiwan, the products with problematic quality are not needed. But what exactly is the quality problem, which batch is the problem, Taiwan did not give an explanation at all, so Lithuania does not believe it now.

Hearing this, I don't know if everyone has a feeling, in the words of our common people, do you think that dogs bite dogs, black eat black? To tell the truth, if Lithuania knew a little bit and could get along well with Chinese mainland, how huge the market of 1.4 billion people would be.

For a small country like Lithuania, if it wants to export, it must find a large and stable market. Therefore, it will undermine the "one-China" principle for the sake of Taiwan, first of all in the international community, and will not get any applause. Second, Lithuania paid the price for it, losing such a huge Chinese mainland market, and eventually Taiwan turned its face and was no longer as enthusiastic about it as it once was. Isn't Lithuania unlucky with this?
