Nintendo today announced its fiscal 21-22 fiscal year earnings report, mentioning the sales of its games, including last year's release of "Galactic Warrior: Survival Fear" has sold 2.9 million copies as of March 2022, making it surpassing "Metroid: Prime" on GameCube as the best-selling title in the series.
Retro Studios claimed in 2007 that Prime 1 had sold more than 2 million copies, and after so many years, and no other film sold more than 3 million copies since then, Galactic Warrior: Survival Fear is expected to break this "deadlock."
Galaxy Warrior: Survival Fear has sold about 270,000 units in Japan, with the remaining 2.63 million units sold overseas, and in the first week of Survival Fear's release, sales were even three times that of Galaxy Warrior: Sams Returns, which was released on 3DS in 2017, enough to prove its success.
