Kyu Young Lee, vice president of Samsung Electronics' Branded Storage Products Division, said, "From closed-circuit television surveillance systems (CCTV) to doorbell cameras, there is an increasing demand for durable and high-performance video surveillance solutions, and PRO Endurance aims to support this demand." "Consumers and business users alike can rest assured that our new memory cards can record continuously at high resolution, even under extreme conditions."

The PRO Endurance Card features Samsung's reliable, enterprise-class NAND flash memory that delivers up to 16 years (140,160 hours) of continuous recording time [footnoteRef:2] to ensure critical moments are captured. This means that a single PRO Endurance memory card has a lifespan equivalent to 33 classic speed-focused memory cards [footnoteRef:3], saving the cost of frequent replacements and providing greater reliability for uninterrupted video surveillance.

Performance improvements

Samsung's new memory cards also offer read and write speeds of up to 100 megabytes per second (MB/s) and 40 MB/s, respectively [footnoteRef:4], and achieve Class10, video speed classes up to U3 (UHS speed class 3) and V30 (video speed class 30) [footnoteRef:5]. The card is ideal for working with large, high-resolution files, while also supporting uninterrupted recording and playback in Full HD and 4K.

Long-lasting durability

Because outdoor surveillance cameras and law enforcement recorders can be affected by harsh environments, PRO Endurance is designed to deliver performance you can trust for everyday use, enhancing six protective durability. In addition to protection against water, magnetism, x-rays, and extreme temperatures, the card now has wear and drop resistance [footnoteRef:6].

Available in four different storage capacities of 32 gigabytes (GB), 64GB, 128GB and 256GB, pro Endurance ranges from $10.99 for 32GB to $54.99 for 256GB, and will be available in China on May 10 and will be available for bookings on May 17. 1) 1GB = 1000000000 bytes. Actual available storage capacity may vary. Use the SD Formatter 3.1 tool to measure user capacity with fat file systems.

2) SDR104: 1.8V signal, frequency up to 208MHZ, up to 104MB/s, maximum current consumption of 800mA (varies with test conditions)

3) V10, V30: Video speed rating refers to the continuous video capture rate of 10MB/s (V10) and 30MB/s (V30), which supports real-time video recording of UHS Bus IF products. Transfer speeds may vary depending on the host device.

4) Performance results are based on internal test conditions. Transfer speeds may vary depending on the host device.

5) Based on Full HD (1920x1080) video content recorded at 26 Mbps (3.25 MB/s). Video support may vary depending on the host device, file attributes, usage conditions, and other factors.

6) 1M depth, brine, 72 h. Operating temperatures -25°C to 85°C (-13°F to 185°F) and non-operating temperatures -40°C to 85°C (-40°F to 185°F). Withstands standard airport X-ray machines (up to 100mGy). The magnetic field equivalent to a high magnetic field MRI scanner (up to 15000 gauss). Withstands drops of up to 5 m (16.4 ft). Up to 10,000 swipes. *Samsung is not responsible for any i) data corruption and/or loss or ii) costs incurred in memory card data recovery.
