New! Sennheiser unveils the XS Wireless IEM in-ear monitoring system

Musicians at some stage of their career development will realize that they need better equipment to improve the overall quality of their performances, and in-ear monitoring systems are an important element that can improve sound quality to a higher level. Sennheiser's well-known Evolution Wireless IEM system has a long history in the industry.

On April 26, Sennheiser released the new XS Wireless IEM system, which aims to provide musicians with a simpler solution, replacing stage floor monitors with wireless ear returns to make performances more professional.

Sennheiser XS Wireless IEM is an easy-to-use device for musicians who want to switch to wireless ear returns to enhance their performance professionalism.

XS Wireless IEM (XSW IEM) is an easy-to-use personal monitoring device that sets a new standard for simple, flexible, and reliable wireless in-ear monitoring devices. The ear return system allows users to quickly establish a professional UHF segment wireless connection that is easy to control.

Bertram Zimmermann, Product Director sennheiser, said: "No matter what musical genre your work belongs to, whether you are rehearsing or performing live, XSW IEM can improve the sound quality and allow you to move around on stage. The premise of creating a great performance is to be able to hear your own voice clearly. XSW Ear Return allows you to enjoy consistent, reliable, high-quality audio so you can focus on your performance and perform at your best. ”

The premise of creating a great show is to hear yourself and other band members clearly.

Add to the show

"As long as musicians have used wireless in-ear monitoring equipment, they will no longer choose stage floor monitor speakers, and there is a world of difference between the two." Bertram Zimmermann, Product Director senheiser, said, "It's a big problem to hear your own voice by returning monitor speakers, side speakers, and even main amplifiers on the stage floor.

The sounds from these devices are always changing, especially when walking on stage. The sound you hear in each scene is also different. Trying to better monitor your own voice by raising the volume can be counterproductive and even lead to hearing impairment, and doing so can also greatly affect the audience's sound experience. ”

All of this prevents performers from giving great rehearsals or performances, as they can neither hear themselves clearly nor know how well their voices merge with other musicians. The in-ear monitoring system completely solves the above problem: XSW IEM allows musicians to hear a coherent, stable sound on all occasions and at all positions on stage. Because they can hear the details of the sound clearly, they are able to fine-tune and optimize the performance, greatly reducing the risk posed by feedback.

In addition to the high-quality technical experience, users can also easily and quickly build the XS Wireless IEM system. The system no longer clutters the stage and gives musicians more room to play in the rehearsal room.

A suite of feature-rich, easy-to-use devices

XSW IEM uses the UHF band to provide professional-grade wireless connectivity. Pre-calculated and matched frequency presets allow musicians to get to work quickly and easily. If required, musicians can also manually select the transmission frequency.

The backlit display on the bodypack receiver and rackmount transmitter allows users to see the settings even in low light. In addition, the system is equipped with a limiter to protect the user's hearing, and a high-frequency booster to enhance detail and clarity.

For users to monitor sounds, they can choose between mono mix (a mix, pan control to adjust the volume of the left and right ears) or a stereo mix. Stereo Mix offers two options: Pan controls change the left/right ear volume when Focus Mode is turned off, and When Focus Mode is turned on, Sound Controls determine which channel has a louder input signal, allowing you to create a personal mono mix based on the musician's needs. The infrared sensor makes it easy to synchronize multiple bodypack transmitters to the same emitter.

With reliable UHF transmission and a special focus mode, the XS Wireless IEM is able to tailor the monitor audio to the needs of the musician. The infrared sensor synchronizes multiple bodypack transmitters to the same emitter.

The XSW IEM includes a bodypack stereo receiver with in-ear headphones and batteries, a stereo transmitter with antenna, a set of rack mounts, and a power supply device with regional adapters.

At the beginning of a musician's career, using a transmitter and any number of receivers to monitor the band's sound was a cost-effective way. After reaching a certain stage of their career, they may want to create more personalized mixes, and they can do it by simply adding an ear return transmitter.

The XSW IEM has five frequency band options, taking into account the frequency bands that work with the XSW Series wireless microphones and instrument transmitters.
