Art is an explosion! This "bombing" game almost killed my RTX 2070 graphics card

Here's the thing, last week an unnamed person sent me a mysterious code telling me that there was something good in the game.

I have seen this kind of thing a lot, don't you just want to use a little temptation to let me write advertorials, you think I'm so good to buy...

No, it looks too much fun???

Without saying a word, I immediately opened Steam and downloaded the game called Abriss. Little did I know that this 1.3GB indie game would nearly crush my RTX 2070 graphics card in a few hours.

>>> "Hair-trigger" to satisfy your dream of bombing a teaching building

In fact, "Touch and Fire" can be summed up very simply, that is, like the "Poly Bridge" and "Besiege" that were very popular in the previous two years, building blocks + solving problems in a very realistic sandbox of a physics engine.

But the fun of Poly Bridge is how to meet the minimum budget conditions, the fun of Besiege is building bells and whistles of siege weapons, and the fun of "Touch and Go" is different from the first two:

Design the coolest, coolest and most crisp "bombing" plan!

In order to dismantle the building, first you need to build a "building bomber".

Touch and Go prepares players with a variety of freely placed parts, including fancy toys such as laser launchers, cannons, heavy blocks and bombs, as well as rotators, connectors, and rocket thrusters to adjust their position. By combining these parts with each other, you can create something that looks like a show, like:

Rotator + column = big pendulum?

Rocket thruster + bomb = missile?

A bunch of rotators + laser emitters = ???

Of course, the Level of Touch-Up is much more than that, and it's filled with a variety of traps and terrain that require you to trigger it with the "bomber" mentioned above.

For example, in a beginner's level, you need to build a building and throw blocks onto the orbital thruster in the map, and then use the cannon to blow up the switch to push the heavy blocks out and smash the target building in the distance. In another level, you need to manipulate the laser emitter on the rotator to hit the laser on the mirror and adjust the angle of the laser to accurately hit the position in the corner. The different levels, combined with the buildings with endless possibilities, allowed me to regain the fun of building skyscrapers with bricks as a child.

>>> you can do these things in addition to demolishing buildings...

As the number of levels increases, the number of buildings to be demolished, the complexity of the terrain, and the resource constraints become more and more exaggerated, and it is perfectly normal for the level to take 20 minutes.

It's not because of how hard the game itself is. If you simply want to pass the level, then as long as you understand the designer's intentions, rationally use the mechanism and the resources at hand, you can easily destroy all the energy cores to achieve the conditions for passing, and you will not be stuck for a long time. At the end of each level, however, the system calculates the percentage of the building you destroy, encouraging you to tear down as many buildings as possible. Many times I stuck because the percentage of destruction was too low, and I felt imperfect when I passed the level, and I always wanted to see if I could destroy 99% of the building at once like bowling.

If you're already tired of all the brain-burning levels, the designers have prepared a free sandbox mode for you.

Throughout the mode with no goal to win, you can unleash your creativity at will. I built a huge pyramid-shaped building in this mode, put perhaps one or two hundred laser emitters and spinners, and as a result, the game was directly dried up at 4K resolution... Fortunately, my 2070 graphics card was safe and sound, but unfortunately there was no video recording at the time, otherwise the program effect should be able to directly pull full.

Speaking of picture quality, I think the picture fineness and particle special effects of this work are also similar in the picture, and I will not repeat it too much here. In 4K resolution, if there are more parts such as cannons and laser launchers, "One Touch" often can't stabilize 60 frames, hoping that the production team can provide optimization in the future, and also shows from the side that the visual effect of this game is really amazing.

>>> summary

Having said all this, it is time to sum it up:

I think Hair-Trigger is a very interesting science engine simulation game. It has LEGO brick fun, which allows you to assemble a fanciful building with various parts; there are also levels that are complex enough that require you to use a certain imagination to successfully solve the problem; it also has excellent picture quality and special effects, and the moment the building collapses will poke you at some cool points, making the "demolition" thing into a purely violent aesthetic.

If you like immersive physics engine simulation games, or challenge all kinds of puzzles, or you have some obsession with excavators and bombing school buildings, then Touch to Fire is your thing!

PS: Guo Niang has been playing "Touch and Hair" in the office for an afternoon, and the boss can't watch it anymore...
