Ferrari, which launched the brand's first V6 hybrid roadster in April 2022: the 296 GTS, announced to fans the sp48 Unica, the latest member of their "One-Off" bespoke series, the only two-door two-seat sport mid-engine supercar in the world, just (5/5) on official social media.
The SP48 Unica, developed entirely according to the customer's ideas by the Ferrari Styling Centre and the engineering team within Maranello, led by chief designer Flavio Manzoni, has a very different look, and a large number of computer parameter modeling techniques and 3D stereoscopic printing technology are used, in addition to the arrow-shaped front, replaced by redesigned, sharper LEDs The headlight set, the lower spoiler and the air dissipation hole in the front hatch of the front hatch are also completely new shapes.
In addition, the SP48 Unica has a newly developed roof, front/rear leaf sheets, side air intakes, side skirts and hoods, and an integrated rear wing at the rear that allows airflow to pass through both sides, with a light bar LED taillight set, double-out exhaust tailpipes, and a large chassis diverter redesigned by air.
Ferrari also said that although the cabin of the SP48 Unica retains the layout of the F8 Tributo, in order to echo the design of the exterior, they not only covered the seats with black perforated Alcantara suede, matched with matte carbon fiber trim, but also cleverly matched the same embroidery as the car's color inside, and imported embellishments similar to the roof paint.
As for performance, although the original factory did not focus too much, since it is based on the F8 Tributo, the SP48 Unica should be equipped with the 3.9-liter V8 twin-turbo petrol engine that has won the "International Engine of the Year" for four consecutive years (2016~2019) and can produce more than 720 (CV) maximum horsepower.
