On May 1, 13,731 vehicles were loaded, setting a new record for the highest single-day loading volume in history, the freight business volume showed a strong growth trend, and the railway service economic development and people's livelihood security capabilities were stronger.

In the Yangtze River Delta region, an export-oriented economic highland, the railway department should be a good "pioneer official" in the transportation industry, smooth the "main artery" of the national economy, focus on the decision-making and deployment of "epidemic prevention, economic stability, and development should be safe", take the initiative to assume the heavy responsibility of ensuring people's livelihood, stabilizing the economy, and promoting development, quickly carry out the battle to ensure supply and supply, fully tap the transportation potential, strengthen the transportation loading and unloading organization, and provide strong support for the people's livelihood, the resumption of work and production, and the industrial cycle.

The railway department vigorously implements the strategy of replenishing passengers with goods, makes full use of the transportation capacity vacated by the epidemic prevention and control, stops and reduces the opening of passenger cars, concentrates resources such as line capacity, rolling stock, and personnel strength into the freight system, and makes overall use of the Beijing-Shanghai Line, Shanghai-Kunming Line, Longhai Line, Beijing-Kowloon Line, New Long Line, Huainan Line, Anhui-Gansu Line, Qingfu Fujian Line and other pipeline freight channels, fill the freight capacity, and do everything possible to increase the amount of freight.

The railway dispatching office comprehensively considers the progress and efficiency of each loading point, continuously strengthens the adjustment of the use of empty vehicles, accelerates the return of empty vehicles, increases transportation capacity support, and meets the needs of loading and emptying key materials to the greatest extent. At the same time, freight trains on the Beijing-Shanghai Line Xuzhou North-Nanxiangjian and The Shanghai-Kunming Line Nanxiang-Xintangbian are organized and operated at a maximum speed of 90 kilometers per hour to improve the transportation capacity of the main channels.

It is understood that the Yangtze River Delta Railway, in coordination with the Jiangsu Provincial Railway Office, formulated and issued the "Guidelines for the Work of Ensuring the Supply of Railway Freight in Jiangsu During the Epidemic Period", announced the contact information, handling procedures and train layouts of 31 major freight stations in the province, and guided all localities to do a good job in the "public to rail" work. In Wuxi, the local transportation department guided relevant enterprises to abandon land and change railways to improve the capacity of sea-rail intermodal transport. In April, Wuxi to Shanghai Luchao Port Sea-Rail Intermodal Transport sent 3692 TEUs, an increase of 89% year-on-year.

According to statistics, in April, the Yangtze River Delta Railway loaded an average of 12,261 cars per day and unloaded 17,442 cars per day, an increase of 8.1% and 19.5% respectively year-on-year; the average daily loading and unloading of goods in a single month, and the loading and unloading of vehicles in a single day hit a record high. On April 12, 16 and 21, 13,109 vehicles, 13,214 vehicles and 13,262 vehicles were loaded, setting a record high for single-day loading.

Bags of rice, baskets of vegetables, boxes of food and drugs and other materials "came by train" to help, and were unloaded and shipped at the first time and distributed to thousands of households in Shanghai. In April, the railway arrived at the key epidemic prevention materials and living support materials in Shanghai with 4,011 cars and 133,000 tons, and all epidemic prevention materials were unloaded and shipped in an orderly manner.

Thermal coal is an important basic energy source supporting the development of the national economy. In view of the reality that the number of empty open cars is small and the supply of thermal coal is relatively strong, the railway freight department actively connects customers through telephone, video and other means, understands and grasps the supply of goods and actual loading needs of major loading points such as coal mines and ports, and grasps the coal loading and transportation organizations of Wenzhou Port and Lianyungang, and effectively guarantees the coal demand of power generation enterprises.

The transportation of agricultural materials is guaranteed, and spring ploughing is not wrong. In order to speed up the spring ploughing materials on the field, the railway department has designated special personnel to dock the production and inventory of key fertilizer production enterprises such as Liuguo Chemical, Anhui Haoyuan, and Debon Chemical, and grasp the transportation demand. On May 2, at lianyungang port, the largest seaport in Jiangsu, imported fertilizers were concentrated on "landing". The railway department takes the initiative to extend the service, carefully formulates the transportation plan, selects the applicable models, dynamically allocates the transportation capacity, and quickly assembles and assembles at the Xuzhou North Marshalling Station.

China Railway Container Transport Co., Ltd. co-ordinates the transportation resources of the central station area of Luchao Port, unites the Shanghai Port Sea-Rail Intermodal Transport Company, the relevant logistics companies in various parts of the Yangtze River Delta, the loading stations, shipping companies and other enterprise units, overcomes the difficulties caused by the epidemic, scientifically dispatches and commands, optimizes the loading and unloading organization, adopts a variety of organizational methods such as pre-entry and rapid entry and exit, maintains 24-hour uninterrupted operation of production, and ensures the operation of 10 pairs of Shanghai railway intermodal trains every day, with an average of more than 20 boxes of emergency supplies per day. The average daily loading and unloading vehicles reach about 850 vehicles.

According to statistics, under the cooperation and close cooperation of all parties, the sea-rail intermodal container traffic of Luchao port central station exceeded 50,000 TEU in April, reaching 50,370 TEU, setting a single-month record; on April 4, the loading and unloading vehicles broke through the 1,000-car mark, reaching 1,038 vehicles, setting a single-day record; and loading vehicles on April 20 achieved a record of 505 vehicles. Photovoltaic modules, home textiles, office furniture, auto parts, refrigerators and other import and export materials are rapidly circulated through railways and ports to ensure that mainland goods go to sea quickly, and imported goods by sea are quickly transported to inland areas, effectively and orderly promote the resumption of work and production of enterprises, and provide transportation service support for ensuring the safety and stability of the industrial chain supply chain.
