When it comes to driving pleasure, many people may think that a high-performance car must soar to a high speed, which is actually a misunderstanding of driving pleasure.
First, we need to figure out what driving pleasure is.
This question is not easy to answer, in fact, "how fun or pleasure is generated", scientists have not really figured out, dopamine, adrenaline or not, are only "knowing it", and far from "knowing why it is".
So I'm not going to define "what is the joy of driving", but just talk about my own experience.
The epiphany about "driving fun" was when I went to a karting race many years ago. The absolute speed of the kart is not fast, but it is very enjoyable and exciting, because its speed, acceleration changes quickly, it can easily drift over the corner, it can turn around in place - its ability to break the balance is incomparable to ordinary cars.
Go-karts are definitely not fast, but they are extremely enjoyable to drive.
At the same time, it is very safe - because of the low center of gravity, the kart will hardly overturn, and if it loses control, it is nothing more than spinning in place; because of the light weight, the absolute speed is not large, and the momentum (the product of mass and speed) is limited, even if there is a collision, the impact generated is not large. That said, the result of karting upsetting the balance is controllable.
So, I made a generalization that may not be very rigorous - the stronger the ability to break the balance within the controllable range, the more enjoyable driving.
Static or uniform linear motion is a state of equilibrium, and when this balance is broken, the body will produce a stress response, and this stress response will make people feel stimulated and excited - go-karts, roller coasters, bungee jumping, and so on.
The exciting and exciting projects in the amusement park, although in different forms, are essentially suddenly out of balance.
Therefore, whether a car has driving pleasure or not, first of all, it determines the upper limit of breaking the balance, in layman's terms, the limit of the car is high. The lateral acceleration in the corner is easier to obtain than the longitudinal acceleration in the straight line, the former is proportional to the square of the speed, the speed is a little faster, the lateral acceleration will be much larger, even if it is an ordinary family car, as long as the driver technology is good, it is easy to obtain more than 1g of lateral acceleration in the corner; and the longitudinal acceleration depends on the size of the thrust, even if a straight line acceleration 4 seconds "break the hundred" performance car, the average longitudinal acceleration of the 0-100km/h sprint process is only 0.7g.
The lateral acceleration at the time of cornering is proportional to the square of the linear velocity, inversely proportional to the radius of the curve, and has nothing to do with the power. So, as long as the grip and suspension support are good enough, a car can be fun even if it is a little weaker in the corners.

In modern society, the pace is getting faster and faster, more and more inward-looking, and pure pleasure is becoming more and more luxurious.

In fact, the absolute speed of the game we played in Prince Hill this time will not have much impact on the life of the tires and brake pads, and as long as you make some preparations, you have a full understanding of the vehicle's handling limits, road conditions, and your own driving level, and it is also very safe.
Speed and slowness are relative, as long as they do not break through the limits of the vehicle and themselves, it is not dangerous.
So, under the same conditions, why not choose a car that is more enjoyable to drive?
There are actually many options on the market that are not expensive, practical, and at the same time rich in driving pleasure, such as the two cars we drove this time, are very practical ordinary sedan family cars, but at the same time they are very fun, especially the manual gear, several of my young colleagues are really enjoyable to drive!
The manual gear type is not only a good family car, but also a fun "driving fun generator", which can send children to buy vegetables and run the mountain under the track.
Of course, if you buy a car, you have to be willing to drive. The brakes are not broken, the direction is not broken, some people have driven for many years, but have never experienced a real driving pleasure, for people, in the car This is a pity, because the driving pleasure is an important part of the value of a car, and some cars are even the core value, such as Porsche.
Finally, the decisive factor of everything is people, the same car, different people drive out of the effect is completely different, in order to fully appreciate the joy of driving, but also as far as possible to improve their driving level. It is not to say that it is necessary to practice more professionally, at least to be able to understand the feedback of the car, have a relatively fast response and accurate judgment.
Many people have driven for a long time, but they have not even tried a real emergency brake - the kind that stomps down; the current car basically has ABS, but unfortunately, the ABS on many cars has never really played a role, abs role is not to shorten the braking distance, but to make the vehicle still have the ability to steer during emergency braking (see figure below), in other words, if you just step on the brakes but do not hit the direction, ABS even if it is triggered does not really work.
Only stepping on the brakes and not hitting the direction is equivalent to not installing ABS.
Having time to practice your motor skills and gradually improve your limits will not only enjoy more driving pleasure in the long run, but you will also become a safer driver - because in the process, you know more about the car, and your driving skills and emergency response ability are also greatly improved.
Every private car owner has an average of about an hour a day to drive, and if you can be happy for one more hour a day, your life will be very different.
