In China, HIV treatment is largely free.

Since 2003, the mainland AIDS treatment has implemented the "four exemptions and one care" policy, and since then, the AIDS prevention and control model has been continuously optimized and strengthened, and it can be said that all HIV-infected people and patients can basically receive free antiviral treatment.

By the end of 2014, free antiviral treatment had benefited nearly 370,000 patients, covering 98.6% of prefecture-level cities (districts) and 75.4% of county-level cities (districts) in the country [8].

Therefore, if you are really unfortunate to be diagnosed with AIDS, you must not hide your illness and avoid medical treatment, the sooner you treat it, the better the effect. As long as standardized treatment is adhered to, a large number of studies have long proved that when a patient's CD4 value is maintained at a normal level for a long time, they can live as long as normal people [9].

Many people "talk about aisyth", but in fact, eating at the same table with AIDS people, talking, shaking hands, and hugging will not be contagious! There are 3 main ways of transmission: blood transmission, mother-to-child transmission, and sexual transmission. The most important thing to be vigilant about on a daily basis is the "sexual transmission" of AIDS.

According to the "Latest Core Information on HIV Prevention in 2020" released by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 95% of newly confirmed HIV infections in China have been sexually transmitted in recent years [10].

Self-love and the correct use of quality condoms are important prerequisites for the prevention of STIs.

And even if high-risk sexual behavior occurs, by going to the CDC or hospital for testing in time and taking AIDS blocking drugs as soon as possible, the risk of infection can be greatly reduced.

Today, AIDS treatment programmes are mature, but many people still have a very naïve view of the disease -

Once diagnosed, many AIDS patients feel dirty and begin to brutally blame themselves, refusing to marry and have children, fearing discrimination from others, not daring to look directly into the eyes of their parents and family members, living a dark life, and delaying treatment.

But in fact, AIDS is only a disease, not a sin.
