In the five months from planting small mustard seedlings on January 1 to collecting seeds today (May 3), I have witnessed the growth of these mustard greens. Of course, I don't study them as deeply as botanists, I just observe their changes from the surface, take pictures and record them, and feel them. After planting, I didn't give too much time to take care of them, to be honest, I didn't know how to grow them better, but I often watered and caught insects. They can grow smoothly and can form a lot of seeds, I think it depends on their own efforts and instincts.
As they grew, a cold rain fell that frostbitten the leaves, and I thought they wouldn't survive, but who knew that after a few days they would be rejuvenated again and grow better.
For a while, they experienced a suffering of being bitten by a small green insect, and the evil little green insect was caught by me countless times, but in the blink of an eye, the best way was to catch it with my hands, and as long as I had time on those days, I would go up and catch the insect. It's not easy to grow a good dish. However, the return on labor is also quite large, and the leaves of these dishes are quite large, and a few pieces can be fried.
In March, these mustards begin to grow buds and bloom, and although the leaves are getting older, I have admired their beautiful flowers.
They blossom one after another, and after the flowers are thankful, they bear fruit one after another.
By the way, when they bloomed, they attracted a lot of bees to fly and buzz to collect nectar, and I enjoyed the wonderful dance of these little bees. Unfortunately, in the process of their flowering to the end of the seed, I have a new love again, busy planting other plants, so I took very few pictures, which is a pity!
In the blink of an eye, the seeds are ripe. Today I have collected them, preserved the seeds, and prepared to plant them in the soil in the second half of this year when it is time to plant.
I gained a lot in the process. They surprise me every day, let me unconsciously exercise happily (unless it rains, other times have to carry a few buckets of water to pour), let me eat fresh vegetables, and even sometimes go home late, too late to buy vegetables, they send charcoal in the snow, let me save time to buy vegetables, ensure that there are vegetables for dinner. They also let me enjoy the beauty, their little yellow flowers, so fresh and lovely, the flowering period is quite long, longer than the time to appreciate the flowers I bought. They also gave me hope that the seeds that ripened ignited my determination to plant again and the confidence that I would plant better next time.
