This work was created by Hou Xiaojie when Weihai opened the high-speed railway in 2012, when the world triathlon had just been held in Weihai, so this work not only records that period, but also expresses Hou Xiaojie's deep blessing for the city in which he lives.
In Hou Xiaojie's paper-cutting works, there are more folk customs, and she likes to study the traditional culture contained in paper-cutting, and integrate them into her own works and integrate innovation.
◎ "Bao Fu Homecoming"
The title of this work is "Bao Fu Homecoming", which is Hou Xiaojie's inspiration from the tiger head pillow made by the older generation for children, and every pattern you see contains an auspicious meaning.
The pattern from left to right expresses "holding the blessing home", from right to left is "home return to the blessing newspaper", which also has: look up to see the joy, the five blessings of the door, more than a year, the source of wealth rolling, the four seasons of peace, the year of the tiger, the crane and deer with the spring! I didn't expect that a small pillow contained so many blessings, and Chinese culture was so charming.

Starting from 2021, Hou Xiaojie joined the Weihai New Era Civilization Practice Culture Public Welfare Venture Capital "Centennial Course, Red Inheritance" Qiaotou Village Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance Project sponsored by the Weihai Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, she said that the public welfare venture capital project gave her the opportunity to teach paper-cutting skills to more people, and also brought the opportunity for the people of Weihai to learn intangible cultural heritage.
