When Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving decided to join forces and join the Nets, fans expected the duo to win a championship trophy for the Nets, and most importantly, James Harden would eventually choose to join the Nets.
Although Harden finally asked for a trade before this year's trade deadline and was sent to the 76ers, the Nets, who still own Durant and Irving, are still the favored team, but the Nets were eventually eliminated by the Celtics in the first round of the series, and more embarrassingly, they were swept out when both Durant and Irving could remain healthy.
After the Nets were swept, some media taunted Durant and the Nets by designing a plan for Durant to be traded to the Celtics:
In the deal, the Celtics traded back kevin Durant with Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart and two future first-round picks. It's just that such a deal has not been approved by Celtic fans.
Some fans said that if the Celtics were easily beaten in the second round, it would be a good deal, but at present, the team's core lineup is finally showing hope, why break the lineup now?
Other fans said Durant wasn't worth the Celtics sacrificing such a heavy chip:
For now, the Celtics really don't have to push for a Kevin Durant deal this offseason.
