Money is the product of commodity exchange, a commodity that is a fixed equivalent of general value separated from the commodity world in the process of commodity exchange, and is a kind of currency. Commonly known as money.
The earliest currency was the natural sea shell. Lao currency was still used in a more primitive form until the early Days of the Lancang Kingdom, but in the middle and late Lancang Kingdom, with the increasingly close contact with the Central Plains Dynasty, Laos began to circulate the copper coin Tongbao currency of the Ming and Qing dynasties in China as a local hard currency.
Between 1945 and 1946, the Lao Liberal Government issued a set of banknotes in 10, 20, 50 art and 10 kip denominations. Kip, is the main currency unit of Laos, art, is the auxiliary currency unit of Laos, 1 kip = 100 art.
This set of banknotes is relatively roughly printed, and the auxiliary bills are marked with Chinese denominations of "one cent", "two cents" and "five cents", which are 1 cent = 10 ata.
In 1946, France made a comeback, pro-French forces in Laos, and established the Kingdom of Laos with a constitutional monarchy.
In the following decade or so, multiple forces coexisted in Laos and fell into a long civil war.
In 1957, the National Bank of the Kingdom of Laos issued the first set of banknotes in six denominations of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 kip. The banknotes feature King Sisawan von, printed by France, in a strong "French banknote" style.

In 1959, the old King of the Lao Kingdom, Si Savang Von, died and his son Si Sawang Wadana took the throne.
Between 1962 and 1963, the Lao National Bank issued a second set of banknotes in 7 denominations of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 200 and 1000 kip.

Among them, 5 kip's banknote characters are the old king Sisawan von, starting from the face value of 20 kip, the characters on the ticket are all king of Sisawang Wadana.

Between 1974 and 1975, the Lao National Bank issued the third set of banknotes in the Kingdom of Laos in 10, 100, 500, 1000 and 5000 kip denominations.

The highest denomination of the 5,000 kip banknotes in this set of banknotes was not officially issued and circulated, and the Kingdom of Laos collapsed.
In the mid-to-late 1960s, the Lao communist organization Pathet Lao issued a set of banknotes in the areas under its control, totaling 1, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 kip, which were printed by China.

In 1975, "Bat Lao" overthrew the regime of the Kingdom of Laos, announced the abolition of the monarchy, and established the "Lao People's Democratic Republic". The previous set of "New Kip" banknotes issued by "Bat Liao" with compressed face value immediately became the national legal tender of Laos.

After 1992, it was the head of the Lao presidency.
