It is reported that since he was elected as the vice chairman of the Asian Table Tennis Alliance in October last year, in addition to the intense training and competition, Xu Xin has begun to familiarize himself with and gradually participate in the relevant affairs of the Asian Table Tennis Alliance. The topics of this Executive Committee meeting are wide-ranging and the details are complex, which is very challenging for Xu Xin. As a top athlete, Xu Xin is always willing to accept challenges and complete tasks well.

During the two-day meeting, in addition to a brief introduction to the continental agreement signed between the Asian Table Tennis Federation and the International Table Tennis Federation, the Asian Table Tennis Federation also explained and discussed important issues such as the update and arrangement of the event after 2022, the adjustment of the world ranking system, the preparation of large-scale events in China, and international exchanges and cooperation.

After the meeting, Xu Xin, who participated in the whole process, said that he had gained a lot, "The agenda of this meeting is compact, the topics are wide-ranging, and the amount of information is large, which has played a great role in my rapid integration into the Asian Table Tennis Alliance." Xu Xin knows that this role gives him not only trust, but also a responsibility, summed up in his own words: promote table tennis, fight for fairness and more discourse for the national table tennis players.

In recent years, with the continuous change of identity roles, Xu Xin is facing an important problem: how to balance the proportion of different roles in life.

As an active national player, the athlete is his primary role. In the inaugural WTT Singapore Grand Slam tournament held in March this year, Xu Xin played in the men's singles. He was sharp on the field, and in his own words: "I still have the momentum to win on the field." ”

In the quarter-finals, Xu Xin lost to Germany's Francesca. "No matter what kind of playerS I face, I can actively mobilize myself on the field. It may not have been possible to mobilize in the first two rounds of the previous competition, but now it will cherish the opportunity of every competition. ”

Off the field, Xu Xin's other heavy role is father. Due to the perennial conquest, Xu Xin could not stay with his family and children for a long time. As the child grew older, the role of "father" became more and more important, and Xu Xin also planned to make some different plans for himself than before, "how to train, how to compete, how to play some role in my family," Xu Xin said, "I need to measure the proportion of these things." ”

Xu Xin is balancing in his own way the relationship between the three roles of athletes, senior officials of the Asian Table Tennis League, and father. Different roles have given Xu Xin a more three-dimensional life on and off the field, and he is embracing his multi-faceted life with his own enthusiasm and his own way. (End)
