Which version of the update will add frogs to the game
The official Mojang will officially add Frog to the game through the Minecraft 1.19 Wilds Update. Developers are currently testing the new creature in Java snapshots and previews with Warden and Allay. You can also test it in a snapshot now. What frogs do in my world
As the name suggests, the frog in Minecraft is a reproduction of a frog in the real world. But unlike real-life frogs, there are only three types of frogs in My World. These frogs can jump to the height of 3 blocks, as tall as our protagonist. In addition, unlike any creature that cannot fly, the damage taken when falling from a height is very low, and like goats, it is 10 HP (5 pieces) lower than normal damage.
In terms of behavior, they occasionally make hoarse noises and agitate the sacs. According to Mojang, frogs like to jump around and sit on large weeping drops or water lilies. If they don't jump, they alternately use their four legs to crawl around. As for their food, frogs in My World only eat small slimes and small magma monsters.
Frogs prey
In the early beta versions of Minecraft 1.19, frogs could eat fireflies and even goats, but this is no longer the case. Now, frogs can only prey on small slimes and small magma monsters with their long tongues. If a frog eats a small slime, the creature will disappear immediately, and there is no death animation, but not without drops.
If a frog eats a small slime, it will drop slime balls, which can also be fed to the frog. More interestingly, however, frogs drop frog lights when eating small magma monsters. The color of the frog lamp depends on the color of the frog. Players can use frog lights for decorative effects.

Where to find frogs in My World
Frogs usually spawn near the water source of the Minecraft Swamp and Mangrove Swamp biomes, up to a maximum of 5. In addition to swamps, frogs can also grow in various other biomes, but Mojang has not yet released a confirmatory list of such biomes. In addition to spawning naturally, you can also breed frogs by using tadpoles.

Frogs are bred in My World to get tadpoles
Similar to the reproduction of other creatures in Minecraft, you can also breed frogs by feeding them their favorite food. So, you just have to get the two frogs close together and feed them the slime balls to get them into breeding mode. Hearts will jump out of their heads, indicating the beginning of the breeding phase.
One of the frogs will then come close to the water source to lay its eggs. There is no concept of gender in my world, so the frogs that lay their eggs are random. But each frog only lays eggs in the water.

The eggs laid by frogs are called "frog eggs". These are non-solid blocks floating on top of the water source blocks. If the player is in survival mode, they cannot get frog spawning. If you use a tool on them, they will immediately break and disappear. However, touching or jumping on frog eggs in the game will not cause any damage.
The eggs hatch into tadpoles after 3 to 10 minutes. A group of frogs can spawn up to 5 tadpoles at a time. Their animation and survival modes are similar to the fish in Minecraft.

As you know, tadpoles are babies of real-life frogs, and the same is true in my world. Their health is very limited, and most creatures can kill tadpoles in one hit. Fortunately, their only enemy in the water is the Salamander. They survive outside the water for only a few seconds.
Unlike frog eggs, however, players can use buckets to carry tadpoles and move them to another location. As for their growth, tadpoles usually take less time to grow into frogs than during the hatching process. However, you can feed them slime balls to make them grow faster. What kind of frogs they will become depends on the biome they grow into.

Three frog variants were found in Minecraft
Minecraft is currently testing three types of frogs, depending on the biome it inhabits. Three species of frogs:
Green frog (in cold areas)
Orange frog (in a moderate temperature zone)
White frog (in hot areas)
Frogs in cold regions are green and only exist in lower temperature snow biomes and ends. Frogs in moderate temperature areas are orange and can be found in biomes of moderate temperatures, such as swamp biomes. Finally frogs in hot areas are gray, and you can only find them in hot biomes, including the Nether.
Depending on the biome they inhabit, tadpoles grow frog colors that are appropriate to the temperature of the biome. The color of their parents and the location where they spawn do not affect the color of the final tadpoles that grow into frogs.
