Sony officially announced that PS5 will update the variable refresh rate (VRR) feature this week and announced the first games to support the feature.
According to reports, on VRR-compatible HDMI 2.1 TVs and PC monitors, VRR will keep the refresh rate of the display and the graphic output of the PS5 host dynamic and consistent. Improve the visual performance of PS5 games by minimizing or eliminating visual artifacts such as frame rate issues and torn screens. In many PS5 games, images look sharper, input latency is reduced, and gameplay becomes smoother due to the seamless rendering of the scenes. Previously released PS5 games can be fully optimized for VRR with game patches, and future games may include support for VRR at launch.
The first games to support VRR features are as follows:
《Astro’s Playroom》
Call of Duty: Vanguard
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
The Death Loop
Destiny 2
Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition
Dust 5
"Divine Meteorite"
Marvel Spider-Man: A Replica
Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Ricky and Tinker Bell: Time-Time Jump
Resident Evil: The Village
