In fact, last year's exceptionally heavy rain caused damage to Shenhe Village, but they did not stop, the rumbling machinery was working, the Shenhe people were busy in front of the house and behind the house, in front of the forest ditch, and the Shenhe River sprouted vitality everywhere in the spring.
"Today is Wednesday, there are not many tourists, and when it comes to the weekend, there will be more people coming to us," said Shen Songlin, a village cadre, Shenhe Village is only a 20-minute drive from Zhengzhou city, with convenient transportation and quiet environment, in 2020, tourism enterprises in the Shenhe community have received more than 800,000 tourists of all kinds, and more than 600 people have directly or indirectly participated in rural tourism projects, achieving tourism income of more than 27 million yuan. The golden age of this year's outings is approaching, and their reconstruction work is beginning to bear fruit.
The Shen River is leisurely, and the two sides of the river are splendid
Shenhe Village is a demonstration site for the beautiful countryside of Zhengzhou City, and also a demonstration site for afforestation of leased land by the Zhengzhou Forestry Bureau. There are more than 3,200 people in Shenhe community, there are five villager groups, thirteen natural villages, and the land area is 6900 mu. A Shen River connects these scattered natural villages, the Shen River is the upper reaches of the Jialu River, and it is also an important foothold for Shenhe Village to create a rural tourism.
Shenhe Village belongs to the hilly landform, with high natural vegetation coverage, superior ecological environment, and convenient transportation location, known as the back garden of southwest Zhengzhou. According to Shen Songlin, Shenhe Village has 3 large-scale farms such as Maojiawan, Shenjia Courtyard and Longyuan Water Town, all of which have won the title of "China Rural Tourism Gold Medal Farm", and there are also a number of food and homestay projects with rural characteristics, "such as stone ground tofu, buckle bowl, lamb hoof and large stewed vegetables, we have everything here."
"In addition to superior natural resources, Shenhe Village also has a strong historical and cultural accumulation", Shen Songlin specially took us to the Shenhe Ruins Ecological and Cultural Park on the top of the hill in the southwest of the village, as a cultural relics protection unit in Henan Province, the Shenhe ruins found rich cultural relics, a large number of red-boiled clay blocks and pottery pieces were found on the surface of the site, and faience pottery was also found, which is an important Neolithic site in Zhengzhou, which has important value and significance for the study of Yangshao cultural settlement form, defense facilities, etc.
"Shenhe Village has hot springs and ice springs, the two springs meet less than 100 meters, residential buildings have Huipai buildings, Ming and Qing dynasty old-fashioned buildings, but also retain a lot of cave dwellings built on the mountain, these natural and cultural resources are fully developed, Shenhe Village's rural tourism will have a long-term development," Shen Songlin said, the village has begun the overall planning, but last year's torrential rains delayed the progress of the project.
After the rainstorm, the Shen River was reborn
"There are still traces of the '7.20' rainstorm last year, when the water level has reached here," Shen Songlin said, pointing to the traces on the wall of the Shenhe Community Party and Mass Service Center. Heavy rains caused the water level of the Shen River to soar, and the buildings on both sides were all soaked in the water, and Shenhe Village became one of the hardest-hit areas in Zhengzhou's Erqi District.
The newly built river landscape was washed away beyond recognition, the crescent lake that was about to store water was filled with silt, the farmhouses and houses in the village were also damaged to varying degrees, and a few acres of peach forests had just become large but were almost completely drowned by water.
"After the water level fell, the dredging work was carried out for a long time," Shen Songlin said, "last year's flood gave the village a heavy blow, but also made us think about it, and gave priority to the village's resilience when rebuilding." ”
Now that the deep excavation and widening of the Shenhe River and the reinforcement of the river embankment are nearing completion, the newly built roads and bridges are about to be completed, everything is ready to stop, and the Shenhe River after the water storage will lay a solid foundation for the village to build a healthy homestay and expand the tourism industry.
Aoyama does not ink Shenhe Yongxiu
Since the second half of 2019, shenhe village has undergone tremendous changes in the appearance of the village, becoming a beautiful village with flowers, greenery and fruits in all seasons, and with the completion of post-disaster reconstruction, Shenhe Village will also enter the next stage of rural tourism development.
