Among Qi Baishi's female disciples, Yu Feng was simply a miracle. She is neither subtle and elegant as everyone's boudoir, nor the gentleness of a small family jasper, but a modern social woman who is as warm as fire and exudes forced sharpness.

Her works are also completely out of Qi Baishi's painting style, more like a youthful wind, fiery, warm and fresh, and coming to the face.

Looking at her works, you will find that she is not stuck in a single painting style, which may be related to her rich life experience.

At the age of 19, she joined the Anti-Japanese Salvation Movement and served as the chief leader of the demonstrations in the Shanghai women's circles. She followed Guo Moruo and Xia Yan to run the "Salvation Daily", went to the Four War Zones as a major, went to Hong Kong to engage in stage design and costume design, and became an editor.

After the founding of new China, he served as deputy secretary general and director of the exhibition department of the China Artists Association. During the Cultural Revolution, jiang Qing was falsely accused of being a traitor and imprisoned for 7 years. After rehabilitation, he continued to paint and write prose.

Yu Feng once served as the director of the exhibition department of the China Artists Association, hanging paintings, exhibiting paintings, and commenting on paintings for others every day, and rarely had time to paint on his own.

But she also painted some works that she was satisfied with, such as "Dream Jiangnan" and "Winter Grass". Xu Chi said that "Spring Wind Blows and Grows Again" is the effect of Chinese painting painting. The painting won a gold medal at the Salon de France.

Perhaps influenced by Qi Baishi's "decay method", Yu Feng also began to explore the modernization of Chinese painting in his later years. Her "Ghosts of the Middle Ages" series is to try out the mechanism effect of ink rubbing on rice paper to express the reality of texture.
