Yu Feng (1916-2007), a disciple of Qi Baishi, was a famous painter, art critic and essayist. In his early years, he studied Western painting at the Art College of Peking University and the Art Department of Nanjing Central University.

At the age of 19, she joined the Anti-Japanese Salvation Movement and served as the chief leader of the demonstrations in the Shanghai women's circles. She followed Guo Moruo and Xia Yan to run the "Salvation Daily", went to the Four War Zones as a major, went to Hong Kong to engage in stage design and costume design, and became an editor.
After the founding of new China, he served as deputy secretary general and director of the exhibition department of the China Artists Association. During the Cultural Revolution, jiang Qing was falsely accused of being a traitor and imprisoned for 7 years. After rehabilitation, he continued to paint and write prose.
She said her paintings were also miscellaneous. When she opened exhibitions in Hong Kong in 1988 and 1992, some people commented on her paintings, saying that looking around the exhibition hall, I found that there were many styles of paintings, not from the same person.
Yu Feng once served as the director of the exhibition department of the China Artists Association, hanging paintings, exhibiting paintings, and commenting on paintings for others every day, and rarely had time to paint on his own.
