The patent was filed last September and was not officially disclosed until April 1 this year.
This is also the first patent released by Vivo that contains "automatic driving", which has triggered speculation in the industry about Vivo's next car.
However, according to Times Finance, Zhu Guitang, general manager of vivo investment management, responded to the rumors of car manufacturing on April 23, saying that so far, the company still hopes to focus on mobile phones and surrounding ecological chain products. Zhu Guitang also said that he wanted to focus his energy as much as possible on the things that could be done well, which was from the perspective of ability.
In fact, if you look closely at this patent, you will find that although there is the word "automatic driving" in the description, it is actually more closely related to the car machine. To be precise, it is to use mobile devices (such as mobile phones, smart watches) to control the car machine, and then let the car machine control automatic driving, but the patent itself only involves the former communication link, not automatic driving. The patent abstract also indicates that the patented technology belongs to the field of communication technology.
Therefore, it is indeed a bit far-fetched to say that it is related to car building.
It is worth mentioning that from the announcement of the patent, the speculation of car manufacturing began to ferment, and then to the vivo response, there was an interval of more than twenty days, rather than the rapid debunking of rumors in the earlier "joint car rumors".
After such a long interval of time to respond, perhaps there is also a sense of propaganda.

On the other hand, coincidentally, before Xiaomi officially announced the car, it was also like Vivo, and there was not much accumulation in the field of car building. The patents related to car manufacturing published are also basically concentrated on the car machine, rather than the core technology of car manufacturing such as automatic driving, intelligent cockpit, and three-electric system.
