The abstract shows that the present invention provides a system and method for exchanging batteries on the UAV when providing sustained power to at least one system on an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). UAV is able to autonomously identify the energy supply station for take-off or landing, and can communicate with the energy supply station; the energy supply station may store the battery for the UAV and charge the battery.
