I think Barnes' election as the best rookie is well deserved. First of all, the Raptors have a better record than the Cavaliers. Before the All-Star Game, the Cavaliers were in the top three in the East, and Mobley was very vocal at the time. However, in the second half of the season, the Cavaliers' record began to plummet all the way, and in the end, they did not even score the playoffs. The Raptors made it to the top six in the East, and Barnes' contribution could be ranked in the top three of the team.
