According to a new research report by IoT analytics firm Berg Insight, the number of smart homes in Europe and North America will reach 105 million by 2021.
The most advanced smart home market is North America, with a smart home installation base of 51.3 million at the end of the year. This represents a penetration rate of 36%. Berg Insight estimates that by 2026, about 74.6 million homes in North America will be smart, equivalent to 50% of all households in the region.
