As the spiritual sequel to "Fantasy Water Margin", "The Legend of 100 Heroes" is expected by many players. Before the release, the spin-off game of "100 Heroes", "Rise of 100 Heroes" developed by Nattsume Atari, is about to come to us - landing on PS4/PS5/XB1/XSX | on May 11 S/PC platform.
As we approached its release, we had the opportunity to interview the developers of both titles and ask them for some information about The Rise of the Hundred Heroes and the connection between the series and the spin-offs.

1. "100 Heroes: Rise" is a town construction + platform action game, why did you decide to use these two gameplay? And how does the production team handle the balance between these two ways of playing?
Natsume Atari: Because the main theme of Rise is reconstruction, we're merging the two ways. Considering the balance with various other elements, we believe that this method is the most effective and best suited for rich expression.
2. If you have not played "The Legend of the Hundred Heroes: Rise", will you be able to smoothly understand the story of "The Legend of the Hundred Heroes" in the future?
Natsume Atari: The Tale of the Hundred Heroes: Rise begins with an earthquake event that occurred on the border of the continent shortly before the beginning of the story of The Tale of the Hundred Heroes, and the story is independent and complete. This does not affect the player's understanding of the plot of "The Legend of the Hundred Heroes" at all.
However, if you've already played The Legend of the Hundred Heroes: Rise, you'll be able to better understand and enjoy the story of the Hundred Heroes.
3. Is it convenient to reveal the length of the game flow of "Rise of 100 Heroes"?
Natsume Atari: It takes about 15 to 20 hours to complete the main content of 100 Heroes: Rise.
After completing the game, there will be various challenge elements, such as new side quests that occur after the story is completed, and the difficult mode after completing the story.
4. There will be 7 characters from The Legend of the Hundred Heroes rising, in what form will they make cameos, such as participating in the main line, assisting the protagonist in building the town, or simply passing through the town of New Nevière as an NPC?
Natsume Atari: The character who "rises" in the main story of "The Legend of the Hundred Heroes" cannot be manipulated. However, they will have their place in the story, so please look forward to it
5. Will The Legend of 100 Heroes have a stronghold to build in addition to the usual RPG battles and wartime sections? If so, how much do these systems relate to the plot and RPG parts of the system?
Murayama Yoshitaka: What can be revealed at the moment is that "The Legend of the Hundred Heroes" involves a "war" plot, and there will be a large number of characters who appear in the war scene and make a huge contribution.
