According to job ads on the LinkedIn, it's clear that Xbox Japan is working with the world's top developers to develop "top games" for an international audience. These games are said to be "big productions (on a high budget)".

LinkedIn an introduction to a position on the job:

"The Xbox Game Studios publishing division is building teams in Asia, a unique opportunity to join an extensive influence incubator team that will work directly with world-class developers to create top-notch games for Xbox that reach an international audience, leveraging Microsoft's support.

We are looking for developers with senior experience in software engineering for high-budget games, who need to have good communication skills (Japanese required) and strong self-motivation. You need to have game development experience in large studios, enjoy working with internal and external development partners, and have built high-quality game software. ”
